Imagine yourself walking in the street or looking through binoculars, in real life > when you see someone or a couple of guys, you can recognize your friends.

But in DayZ there is no way to be sure about that. Because of some technical resons, clothing and facial shapes and body types have to be limited.

To do so you have to use another software (lets say TeamSpeak) and say "heyy I'm the one wearing pink hat" or "I'm in the church in Electro, getting baptised blabla.."

And imagine you guys trying to meet with your friends in DayZ so you won't feel safe until he/she confirms it by saying "it's me!" on TeamSpeak or stops running,

waits for a while and you see the chat message that confirms it.

 

Wouldn't it be great if there was a friend system or an option to create a group that shows you their names somewhere in the screen while your cursor on them?

of course you have to add him/her to your friend list with their permission first. Or some system like this to show you <maybe> green notice bar just for your friends.

Also you really wanna know if you just killed your friend or not with your high-range scope attached mousin. 

 

So I wanna know your suggestions about this one

Do you think this would be useful or useless on DayZ?

The idea isnt that bad, but it would be hard to implement and would take away a lot of thrill during firefights. Its way more fun if you dont know who you're shooting in my opinon.

 

Another Point would be masks or other things later on that cover your Face. How would you recognize your Friend if he's wearing one of those without him telling you that its him ?

I don't want names or dots popping up from a certain distance  but i do support character customization so players can scan their faces and put them in as their face so their friends recognize them from up close...of course it's a fact that you can't recognize their faces beyond a certain distance anymore so that of course has to be done by clothing/equipment and would also lessen KoSing even if it's just a tiny bit because people will hesitate.

This has been bought up a kazillion times and the answer is NO!

 

But don't worry when the mod tools come out there will be sure to be a few server owners who will implement this for you.

I'd like it if differently colored clothing could be torn into appropriately colored rags, which you could then wear on your arm, allowing your squad a quick and easy (if imperfect) method for friend/foe identification

I did search all forum about this subject. well I didn't suggest all player names popping on their heads. I know it is ridiculous in DayZ style. Also in long term updates; they will be working on
