About 600 pounds (stg).

I run an i3 and a HD7870. Works fine on med to high settings. I would go for an i5 or a Xeon processor if I was building again.

Hope this helps!

I spend like close to 1k euros on my rig, which is not as much as you need, but I wanted to max out all my games :D

I'd guess that 600 to 700 should do the trick. If you can re-use some old components of your current PC, it'll be much cheaper. The most essential part of a dayz/arma PC is the CPU. I got the i5 4670k, which is perfect. (200 eur). The rest of the system should be build around that CPU, depending on your financial resources.

I would not buy a computer for DayZ. The game is not optimized yet, you could buy an amazing system and still suffer proformance loss. Now if you were just looking at an excuse to buy or build a new computer entry level gaming computers run around $800usd but wont get you very far. Mid range is $1000 and good is around $1200 usd.
