But on, a more serious note. I hope one day the devs introduce some form of riot gear, craftable chain mail or some other sort of body armor. It would protect you from melee weapons and zombies to a certain point.

It would be awesome if you could scavenge for metal and then craft steel plates and body armor, with the right tools of course.



The craftable gear could be repaired but it would offer less protection from police riot gear and it would be complicated to craft it, in the other hand you would not be able to repair police riot gear which would be hard to obtain in pristine condition.



The gear would also have it's drawbacks. Slowing you down and make sprinting possible only for very short periods of time.

If you don't like the proposal or someone already made this suggestion don't be too harsh....please... ^_^

Ok here is a mechanic that does bug me though. Anything with a hard hat helmet should ACTUALLY hurt the player every time he punches until his hands literally start bleeding and it does more harm to him than anything else. Same should apply to any kind of metal surface when your pounding your fist against it.

 

So punching a suite of armor and being ok should not be a thing.

As it should be yes.

 

Unless its a blunt object with piercing properties or a sharp object in general that has a higher chance to pierce ballistics. There are certain combat knifes that you cannot openly walk around with due to the nature of being able to pierce ballistic armor and what not.

 

I have a blade thats around 8 inches long and about half an inch to an inch thick going down the whole thing that could do that.

If this were true, it would apply to all knives.

 

Any knife with a decent point or suitable edge can defeat ballistic armor.  It stops bullets, not blades.  Now a stab-vest, that's another story.

There is already talks about RIOT gear being made. They are basing it off there local police force's RIOT gear.

well they gotta remember theres both police and i think if im not mistaken military riot gear as well? Not sure but would like to see both designs.

 

 

But i mean the military look is already taken care of for the most part for that. All they would have to do is make camo ballistic vest, stab vest and army camo riot helmet.

My soft armor isn't even close to being three inches thick, and it could be defeated by a fork.
