UltimateGentleman 355 Posted April 30, 2014 So I updated from NVIDIA GeForce 334.89 to 335.29, should this fix the crashing to desktop problem? I don't know much about these things. Using an AlienwareX51(most basic package) Played the game about 90 hours and it's only happened recently, I stopped for a couple of weeks and during that the game got updated so I don't know if the update itself has done it or if my GPU isn't updated enough to keep up. Anyway I'll test it and check back here anyone experiencing the same problem will know if it's a fix or not.Really inconvenient, always happens when zombies are attacking me so have to try run away blind and then end the process, usually end up dying of course. Irish. 4886 Posted April 30, 2014 I would try it first before posting. Its an alpha, everyone has issues. :)

UltimateGentleman 355 Posted April 30, 2014 I don't really know what a GTX is not used to all the terminology yet but if I open up Nvidia it says the GPU is GeForce GT 640.I think that's what you mean so I don't have a GTX probably...this makes me sound dumb haha. It being an alpha isn't really the excuse I think it played fine before, when I first got it I played it for like 10 hours straight with Firefox on, even though my computer isn't all that it managed but now I terminate all but essential processes while playing for better performance and it crashes this way, usually after half an hour. Actually. It comes up right at the start saying that it can't load textures of some motorbike helmets, is everyone getting this right now since the latest update or could this just be me?Perhaps whatever is causing it not to load the textures is what's causing it to crash.Though it seems to be lies it usually says it can't load the texture for a grey helmet...then I find a grey one minutes later... Maybe the latest update corrupted a file somewhere, reinstalling the game could work. As for updating my driver I played the game for like 30 minutes and it seemed ok(had to stop playing so not a big test)
