Zeeboy 0 Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) Gamespy will go offline on the 31th of May!!! Hello, i've created a new masterserver for Arma 2 OA.Admins can list their servers by changing reporting IP to "arma2.accurate-dayz.de", the serverlist is available at www.accurate-dayz.de. atm there is no function on the serverlist to join a server, i've contacted the DayZCommander Team @ Facebook to also use my Serverlist. <- WIP! THIS IS A PRE ALPHA For Developers... You can access the Serverdatabase by sending an UDP Packet to "arma2.accurate-dayz.de:55555" or "94.101.38.100:55555" its content must be "Server;<port>" <port> is the Port on which you will receive the answer. You will receive some UDP packets, the first contains the number of packets, it is equal to the number of listed servers. The next packets will contain the servers at following scheme:string localIPstring localPortbool natnegint statechangedstring gamenamestring IPstring Portstring gameverstring hostnamestring mapnamestring gametypeint numplayersint numteamsint maxplayersstring gamemodestring timelimitbool passwordbool param1bool param2string currentversionstring requiredVersionstring modbool equalModRequiredint gamestatebool dedicatedstring platformint languageint difficultystring missionbool sv_battleyeint verifySignaturesstring signaturesstring modhashstring hashint reqBuildbool reqSecureIdint latint lngin this order seperated by "/".The last packet contains "END" All Packets encoded with ASCII.If you want a direct database connection/account let me know. Lady Kyrah 1110 Posted April 29, 2014 Zeeboy, don't you think BIS is going to run their own thing rather than trusting a random forum dweller?
Etherious 907 Posted April 29, 2014 BIS will not be trusting some random, non-active forum guy who also has no feedback.

malau 11 Posted May 31, 2014 Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead will not be affected by Gamespy's shutdown: Bohemia Interactive: "We are planning to introduce an alternative solution using Steam to Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and Arma 3 users. Can I ask, what is Bohemia's solution to this disaster of disasters ? 31st May has come and gone and BIS have not released a browser app to allow us to find and connect to Dayz Mod servers. Is their 'solution' to use the heinous in-game browser to find servers ? This would be a rubbish solution because after you have found a server you want to play, you will have to EXIT out of the game and re-load it with the correct mod= parameters every single time you casually browser for servers. Not to mention (unless they have updated it since yesterday when I looked) the FILTER and Game Type options are irrelevant to Dayz. There would seem to be no way to filter out say, the 2500 Epoch servers to find an Overwatch server. This whole 'solution' is just too horrible to contemplate. With all BIS's millions (thanks to Dayz SA and Arma 2 sales due to Dayz Mod), they could at the very least set up a Dayz Hub (or whatever you would call such a thing) to replace the Gamespy one and allow us to find servers. Instead they are blowing it on silly competitions like - Win a holiday to a War Zone ! Or a Dayz Commander replacement that will read the Steam Server list. I asked all of this on BIS forums, and noone knew.
FrostDMG 398 Posted May 31, 2014 It's called DayZ commander. It's pretty damn good.
kichilron 8550 Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) I asked all of this on BIS forums, and noone knew. This statement of yours can simply not be true, as the Beta Patch 1.63 introduced the Steam Server Browser to ARMA 2. This Betapatch utilises the Steambrowser and the people on BIS forums know - if you would have actually done the above you'd know. We have released DayZ Mod with 1.63.112555 as recmmended version for that reason. It is working flawless and I can post pictures later. Make sure to get information before ranting on that there is "no solution". It's called DayZ commander. It's pretty damn good. And that uses a serverbrowser in the background again. It's not using its own. Edited May 31, 2014 by kichilron
