SA Server browser issues.

Hi All,

 

I've noticed a couple of issues with the server browser that I hope I can get some help with.

 

When I try and join a server with 0 players on, I just get on the 'waiting for host' screen forever and end up having to push escape to get out of it, but then it won't let me join any servers at all.

 

Also,  When I refresh my server page It seems to take forever to query the servers, then it will only show me a list of about 5 or 6 servers and when I click on one of those to join it, the ping skyrockets from around 50-60ms up to anywhere between 200-500ms (on the server browser, not in the game).

 

I've tried removing my <100 ping filter and get no results there either :(

If you click once on a server in the list it will test the ping again for that server - so the 200-500 ping is actually the real ping.  Unfortunately.

You have a ping problem - are you using wifi or sharing a connection?

Put the ping filter to 0 and all the servers available will be listed. But as I said, in the first listing the ping may not be the true one, as a result of your connection speed.

 

Its very common to get "Wait for Host" screen forever, for a server with 0 players. Can also happen with 3 - 5 players,

I'm using both wifi and a shared connection, I don't usually get the issue until I try and join a server with 0 players, then I am unable to connect to any server.

everthing was fine for me but on exp what now is stable, i have these issues
mouse not responding
server loading slow 
etc.
network wise everthing is fine, so hardware setup is okay
