Me and my 2 buds, Daz and omgcow were in Svetlojarsk in the orange building with a staircase and a locked door.

We were using in-game comms because, me myself, is a little against skype metagaming.

Some fresh spawn who had found a SKS ran up to the window and started shooting at us. I told him to stop, and that we were friendly. He ignored, and shot Daz. I ran behind the building, aswell as omgcow, but we both got shot. My revolver aim vs the SKS wasn't good enough, so I was killed and omgcow too.

 

I respawned, ran back to where I was and saw him there. 

He ran up to me and said "Hey im friendly, I killed 3 bandits here". Funny because I knew he was a lying bastard.

I told him that it was us 3 he killed, and he was wearing a helmet so there was no point in trying to punch him and knock him out.

He said, in defence that he was scared of us three so he took a chance. I said I understand, I would have too been scared but I would have ran away not do some leeroy jenkins crap.

 

He told me to not follow him, and he would leave. I went to loot the bodies and about 1-2 minutes later I hear footsteps outside the house again, I see it's him. He's firing through the windows again, but this time I got a Mosin. I fire once at him and he's on the ground. As he got hit he was yelling "mother*****r bandits!!"

 

Whoever shot at us, if you're reading this, GG mate. You got nothing out of being an a-hole haha. I hope you learned a lesson and that you regret your decisions.

It's hard being a friendly these dayz..or trying to communicate with ppl.

 

I can see a few times you took the risk in that situation including talking to him when you came back and not assuming he was the guy who kos'ed you guys and just killing him on sight.

 

I play that risky style too and no..we are not extinct just an endangered species at this stage in alpha..

I once turned around in a police building and this guy was trying to chop me with an axe.  He missed every swing, then started yelling "friendly!  FRIENDLY!" when I pulled out my gun.   Yelling "friendly!" in this game means nothing. 

 

 

Indeed; I was in a control tower at one of the airfields and thought I heard someone walking around outside; just as I decided to ignore it, a guy came up the outside ladder up to the top; I immediately ran down the stairs when he started yelling "I'm friendly" over the mic, so I responded in kind and went back up (my first mistake). So far so good. He asked if I had any food, and I said "sure, I've got plenty" (my second mistake) and we both crouched down so as to avoid the attention of anyone else that might be nearby. I asked him if he had a can opener, and he said yes, so I said "good, because you're going to need---" at which point he pulled out his pistol and shot me point-blank in the face and killed me.

That's the kind of people that ruin DayZ. 

 

I don't understand either, you have a chance to make a new friend you can play with, but you choose that 5 seconds of adrenaline over countless hours of playing with a new friend.

I wish more people would know how funny it is to play as a group, especially with people you met in game

I was playing on a hardcore server and arrived in elektro.

 

Some guy was running along the train tracks just like me, he had no weapon, I had a wrench, could have knocked him out as he went by.

 

So we both go into the police station to look for stuff, he found a bat in there, he tried to hit me once he saw me. I didn't try to beat him as he went in, but I followed him in and ignored him just to look around, and to leave him alone.

 

So what does he do? Runs out with the bat, tries to hit me, I run outside into the street, he follows. I eventually smash his face in with the wrench and knock him out before continually smashing his head with the wrench.

 

After he fell down, I said: "Told you I was friendly, you shouldn't have done that, you piece of shit."

 

"Would've been all well if you hadn't tried to kill me, stupid cunt."

 

Why does it take a good face bashing to get people to smarten the fuck up?

 

KOSer gets a weapon, decides to immeadiately try to kill me even though I've done nothing to him.

 

I only have one thing to say to you, Mr.KOSFag.
