Can I roll back my Dayz server's vanilla mod version?

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a server from HFB and was wondering if I could roll back the Vanilla DayZ version from 1.8.0.3 to an old version such as 1.7.2.6. I have tried replacing the @dayz, MPmissions and the dayz_server with that of 1.7.2.6 but I am faced with an error that says the server is running an outdated version. If anybody knows how to do this please let me know.

Thanks, CombatShades.

With a hosted server, such as yours from HFB you run into permissionissues. With 1.7.2.6 the Database-structure was differently from the one it's using now, meaning you can't just use the official files from that patch.

You might be able to do that with a dedicated server, though.

Ok. Would it be possible for something not as old such as 1.7.6.1? I'm kind of new to server hosting so I don't know that much about it.
