It depends on what version of DayZ you play. If you play Overwatch or end-game Epoch, I don't think it's a very effective gun to do AI missions or kill people with. There are many better guns. Having said that, a CZ 550 can be a very nice find when you start out a new character in any version of the mod. I think it can hold up quite well as a one of two primary weapons untill one finds a DMR or something like that. The CZ often has one problem though, and thats finding ammo!

I think it's just right for Stary Sobor Sniping. It's mags are hard to find though and if you have the option, ditch it for any other sniper rifle. I personally, would use it to acquire somebody else's dmr or m24........

one of my favorite snipers in the game, and should be the only sniper in the game. I could live without all that military grade crap
