Indoor suppression - Zombies, bullets,..all sounds really.

I was thinking, player sounds and guns firing indoors should get suppressed by the building and end up much quieter to whomever is outside.

This way we can lure zombies into houses if we don't want to attract as much attention when killing them.

The sounds of eating, drinking, and bandaging are really loud outside and would make much more sense to have proximity on all the player sounds like the VOIP is for chatting.

It would help distinguish the distance of a player other than just direction alone.

Maybe for pistols...but just maybe. The shotguns and rifles are just too loud to be suppressed by the buildings imo.

Any sound made indoors is going to be muffled on the outside to some degree...

 

Edit: Just occured to me...why didn't anyone think of a person shooting a gun inside a room would make him go deaf for awhile?

That would be cool, but only if it lasts for a short period. Don't want my ears ringing forever lol. But maybe if they added earmuffs (or you could just wear the biker helmet) it would prevent your ears from ringing.
