ImDash 7 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) My apologies if this is not the appropriate place for this topic.Since my update from steam I have not been able to get connected to any of the servers I frequently log onto.Did I miss something or is there a solution that I am unaware of for this? Any help is appreciated. Are you trying to log onto a certain mod like Epoch, or regular DayZ?For DayZ you're gonna wanna update both the mod itself and the Arma 2 Beta Patch. For something like Epoch, you're gonna wanna stay outdated on the 103718 Patch.Hope this helps. Paragon Voltage 0 Posted June 3, 2014 I've been having some this problem. I tried re-installing Arma 2 off of DayZCommander, and at the end it says "Wrong CD key". I bought DayZ a few months ago, and finally got my new computer about a week ago. I downloaded the game today and was able to join 1 server. Trying to join another I got the "Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection". I did what Steak And Potatoes said to do perfectly, and it didn't do anything... I'm fine for now that I have the one server I can play on, but like, what is going on wrong? In the DayZ server browser on the actual game it says version 1.62 in red and the servers 1.62 in black. fantommode 0 Posted June 7, 2014 (edited) I am trying to install everything as I was told, arma 2, arma 2 ao, arma 2 beta, dayz commander..... when I try to update wrong cd key, wrong key given on setup, connection lost, no message received, connection to host lost, session lost..... 1. Did the suggested find AO folder with regedit: NO folder can be found. 2. Tried to do delete the beta folder, and download the patch manually (wrong cd key error) 3. tried validating game files, 14 files failed to validated reaquired, twice in a row. Steam is running as admin... I have no idea what's missing, cant update, can't do a single ....blasted thing.... I keep searching through the forums, yet no fix for my many many issues, and you cant tell me I have to reinstall everything, because it took me 36 hours to download everything Arma2, Arma2AO, DayzCommander, im running on 3mbs.... So you guys have to find a way to fix this without having to start all over again... because this is some serious BS.... I HAVE NEVER in my life came across something so freaking difficult to play, it's almost as atrocious as Steam and Arma 3.... always giving issues with connecting with friends, or playing online ...it's redundant. Anyways, Ill keep searching and trying everything I can find. without having to uninstall everything and downloading it again.... So my story is that this morning i was playing DayZ Epoch on a server with the Arma 2 version to be "103718" and mine "112555" but i could play normally. We had the same DayZ verion (1.0.4.2). A few hours before i tried joining the server but i got the error above. As i saw on the forum i tried verifying the game cache and it said that some items were missing and were replaced. I launched Arma 2 then Arma 2 OA and then Arma 2 OA Beta which for some reason was obsolete. Anyways i had a similar problem a few days ago but i could play just fine. When i tried joining the server i had the same error. So if anyone can help me it would be highly appreciated! OmSanti 1 Posted June 9, 2014 Hey there! So i want to apologize for posting a DayZ mod issue on the standalone but i was on a hurry :/ Let's begin! This morning i played DayZ epoch on a server ( Arma2 : 1.62.103718 and Dayz : 1.0.4.2 ) normally, but a few hours ago i got the error above! I have tried deleting those folders from registry, selecting the beta to opt into from the properties of Arma 2 OA, deleting beta folder ( couldn't install latest patch saying "the version of arma 2 oa (1.63) is more recent than this patch version (1.62)" ) then verifying game cache and relaunching Arma 2 then Arma 2 OA and Arma 2 OA beta and so far nothing helped me. I saw the thread on top of this section but there is very little info about the problem on the title. If anyone could help me it would be highly appreciated! Flexxo 4100 8 Posted June 10, 2014 I have now been trying for som days to get my Dayz working again..i have really almost lost the thoung of it working again been in to Regedi and did delete the Arma OA folder in Bohemia Interactivedid reinstall all arma 2 + oa + beta did reinstall Dayz commander yet nothing is working same problem again and again.
