oh ok which program do you guys use to start up dayz mod?

right now im using steam to play DayZ, however i can only play the vanilla dayz mod (if only those devs could add more weapons i wouldn't be so berated with finding no other guns other than the M4) if a 3rd party program is required are they endorsed by any companies/ reputable people? Thanks.

are you saying i can play overpoch/other mods like origins,etc. w/o having to download DZC or DayZLauncher? Im a bit cautious about what i d/l on my PC

If i were to kill everybody on the server who had decked out gear and hid all their bodies, would there be little to no gear on the map or would they respawn at a random place?

Im a diamond.... i try not to PVP cus i suck at it and dont want to lose my gear. I kill fresh spawns so they become 1 less person to worry about. Hate on me.

how does one mosin shot not make them unconscious at the least?

Hey guys. I am using Steam to play DayZ. I am able to join Vanilla DayZ servers but not any others like overpoch,etc. Is there any way i can get DayZ mods w/o using DayZ commander?

I see that you don't recommend installing DayZCommander. In not doing so, how would i install DayZ Epoch,etc.?

Several Questions: What do you mean by the Steam server browser? Where can i find that? Is DayzCommander obsolete now since it doesnt support 1.63? Should i delete Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead Beta since Steam says its obsolete?

I have dayzcommander and i have the same problem as the OP and i D/L'd all the newest updates. Do you know if DayzCommander will support 1.63 and if not what the best alternative is?

Hey guys i fixed my issue by verifying integrity of both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA on Steam, and after starting both to menu and exiting out, my ARMA 2 on DayZcommander said it was updated! Not sure what happened but it worked so im happy! Thanks for the amount of help and suggestions, gl to all who still haven't fixed it!

hi guys i was playing dayz earlier this morning when i quit. I came back an hour later to play and couldnt join a server because i got the error message "Bad Version, server rejected connection." and when i went on Dayz Comander it said ARMA 2 was not found and out of date. The current version its running is 103718 and its stable. I tried finding new ARMA 2 versions but couldnt find any. it doesnt give me the option to reinstall but only to install and after i did that i get a message asking if i want to install the ARMA 2 OA Patch Build 103718 Beta. After i say yes, i get an error message saying, "The version of ARMA 2 OA (1.63) is more recent than this patch version (1.62). After pressing ok i get another error message saying, "The version of ArmA2 ACR (1.63) is more recent than this patch version (1.62)." and after hittiing ok i go back to the install/update on DayzComammander and it says ARMA 2 is not found and out of date. I asked my friend what version he's running and he said is up to date and running 103718...... any solutions pls? preferably without downloading from any websites i cant trust "

SO currently I have all my settings on high including AA and getting 20-30 fps everywhere(cities and grasslands) Here's my rig: FX 8320 R9 270 2GB 8GB RAM I do not have an SSD, but i dont think that'l improve my performance. Anyway, is there any way i can boost my fps without having to turn down all these settings? Im fine with turning one, or 2, maybe even 3 settings off or lower them, but i also want to keep the game a little pretty. I have heard people say turning off AA boosts fps dramatically and only sharpens edges when on. If you have a similar pc configuarition, i would appreciate it if you showed or stated ur settings and gave me your fps..... THANKS :)
