New to Dayz standalone

Well, I'm new to the standalone, I played the original Dayz mod, but quit because I got spawnkilled endlessly by bandits. I'm back for the standalone and hoping to find a server or something to play with some friendly people to learn the game. About me, I like motorcycling and weed.. Not sure what else to say about myself.

love the intro - welcome to the apocalypse. you will still get ganked at spawn from time to time and loots don't respawn yet so surviving on full servers can be a challenge but it can't be all bad or there wouldn't be so many of us here ;)

You will be disappointed because you won't find many friendly players and you rly should not be friendly yourself. It will end up with your death.

Just had a zombie glitch into a house I was hiding in through the wall, and my axe disappeared and I was no longer able to turn and look toward the attacking zombie to aim my punches.. Weird..

 

I have no idea where I am in the game, nor where to get water and how to find better weapons or gear. Ugh, so lost and confused in this game.

Not everybody is looking for friends in this game. People play alone or search for groups, but you don't look for a group ON a server.

In this lovely world of DayZ Standalone you cant trust anyone, I mean anyone at all, I used to be friendly but it got me killed endlessly, so the best thing for you to do is to show no mercy and don't trust ANYONE !!
