1 shotgun + 4 buckshots = 3 kills (squad wipe?!) _ self-defense

Recommended Posts

Hello gentz,

This is at Berezino's construction site. I got shot from the outside, but I've managed to kill those 3 gentlemen. Lucky me they were bad shot... still, my heart was pounding!

Have fun watching it.

Note: there's an intro in the video with one kill, also at Berezino's apartments, before the shotgun massacre. Those are from different game chars.

I would loose or edit a title into the long intro like that, made me think that you had uploaded the wrong video.

Yeah and the shotgun has a habit of ruining just about everything. More a self defense weapon that a shoot for loot weapon.

the desync is really heavy...

atm the shotgun is a bit OP in buildings, this lagging arround edges + shotgun combo is no fun.

edit: ohh and good video :)

You nailed it right!!! I was on TS with my buddy Ved, and yep,.. I was desperate for some rags.. too bad that we were communicating in portuguese, otherwise I would have added the comm's audio to the vid.. very funny stuff indeed :D

There's some desync in the alpha, but at that time I didn't noticed that much of desync (they all fell down right after I shot).. What I think happened is that they forgot to decrease their zeroing to 50m, hence the bullets could be flying above my head.

Gluke, Dchil, quantum2k6 and Hairy_eyeball.. thanks for your words.. much appreciated!

What a great way to start my day.  Not only is this a good video that shows you play it cool under pressure (bleeding out is the ultimate 'ticking-clock' scenario), but it's all done, in the glory and wonder that is 3PP:OFF!  All first person, and all very well done.

Wow man.. thank you indeed for your kind words!! Much much appreciated.. don't know what else to say besides a HUGE thank you! One of the best comments I received so far.

"(bleeding out is the ultimate 'ticking-clock' scenario)" That is so true. My heart was pounding like.. I dunno.. It was really immersive. One of my best experiences in the standalone.

Once again, thank you for your words, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Ps: we share the same regarding 3pp:off.. it's so wonderfully unnerving (in a good way).

Cheers man!

It didn't seem like there was a lot of desync to me. The instant falling down animation after being hit by those players showed no signs of lag. There was some body parts sticking through walls at time, but that is just because of the unfinished structure meshes, not necessarily desyncing.

Nice to see the shotgun actually being useful for a change. Luckily it wasn't a sawn off or you would very likely have dealt no damage in those 5-10 m shots. And also beans for 1pp.

I absolutely agree with you. And yes, the sawed-off version is not that good.. I had the chance to test it against one player, I was at the main door of the TEC building and he was next to the wall facing the door, we both shot (he had an M4). I died but I'm pretty sure he didn't.

1pp is way more immersive, and noone is in disadvantage. As Dslyecxi said in one of his videos about first person perspective, if I can see you, you can see me.

Thanks again for you reply :)

It was nice to be of help.

I feel that i'll be running a similar load out to you (in this vid) when i stop being weapon storage for one of my friends. I run a Sawn-off and a magnum with speed loaders and snap loaders when i can get them at the moment and the damage is fine for across the room ranges. Though i intend to upgrade to a full length shotty with a hacksaw in my pack just in case i need a primary slot to carry a  dropped rifle (or a mosin if i need to snipe for a short period). However a second magnum and an SKS are on me because i haven't had the chance to offload them to a friend.

I know what you mean..Sometimes I tend to be a weapon storage.. but when me and my teammate, or you and yours) meet up, you'll be both geared and ready to go.. that's the good thing about it, specially for the other guy. Honestly I don't like the sawn-off version.. too much recoil and no damage, as I expected, in a short range distance. The only time I used it against someone, I was entering the TEC building and the other guy was  next to the wall facing the door, I shot and 99% for sure I hit him, but he managed to kill me. The best advice would be to adapt your gear, clothes as well, to the environment you are (cities, either short or mid distance, forest or open fields, etc). Magnums are great and the amphibia s is good for a surprise shot on the back of the head of a camping sniper.

Cheers

Well done for taking those guys out. Should think twice next time before they engage.

Thanks for your comment. Sometimes people take from granted numerical superiority. This time it was to my favour :)

lmao worst bandits ever, no coordination the useless muppets. You handled the pressure well though and those were some nice shots.

Beans for you.

Thanks for your words. It was a huge unnerving situation in which I was in. It was very intense, I'm glad it went well for me.
