Dayz standalone vs arma 3 specs ?

Recommended Posts

So when i check on can you run it it appears that i can run arma 3 just as well as dayz, would this be the case in reality, i average about 25 frames in cities and about 35 outside in dayz standalone so would that be the same for arma 3, I am actually quite surprised considering the graphical improvements in arma 3 that they require the same specs ???

Hello there

"Can you run it" and such sites are never the be all and end all to rate performance of an individual system. Be aware of that

I tend to get higher frames in DAYZ than A3 although A3 is very playable my fps is definitely less.

So although a machine may be able to play both, dont expect a similar performance on lower end machines.

My system performs better in ArmA 3 than it does in DayZ. I get 60 FPS constant with everything on ultra. It dips in the larger cities of Altis in some mods but for the most part it's consistent.

It depends purely on your specs.

Not completely true.

You can have nice setup but the game engine cant utilize the hardware.

Cpu Core utilization is very bad this causes lesser fps on AMD systems.

No Crossfire / Sli support. Worst fps killer in HW utilization level.

And of course it depends purely on specs but in this case it should not.

Im having around 25-50fps and could be better if the engine would work like it should in my oppinion.

Exactly. So if you have a powerful CPU with decent single-core performance and a solid graphics card then it will perform well in A3.

Like I said, it depends on your specs.
