Difference of M4A1 scopes

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I have currently two scopes who seem to be the same; one is the M68 CompM2 optics, with a red dot in the middle and the RU1 RDS optics with.. tada, a red dot in the middle. Are there any particular differences except for the tooltip text?

thx

The RU1 looks and feels like it sits lower on the gun, I'm not sure if it does or not, Sure feels like it though..

Pretty sure it's just aesthetic. The M68 is the "US" optic and the... whatever the other one is (T3N)... seems to be of Russian origin. Not sure on that though, my knowledge of non-US optics is pretty shoddy.

Neither one is a scope, just a RDS. No biggie though, just me being pedantic.

Can't wait to see what kinds of optics they'll add down the road. Really would like to see an Aimpoint T1. Just a low-profile and simple RDS.

There is no difference. Pick the one you like the best.

Theres no difference like others have said but that won't be the case with later updates.

One provides a better sight picture. One is larger than the other.

Probably why I prefer the Russian version.

I'm pretty sure it's the M68 that can have a battery attached to it. I think later on you may require a battery for the red dot to work. If you right click the scop it allows you to turn it on and off.
