commanderbash 102 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) optics do not increase accuracy, they can, however, increase how accurately the shot is taken. personally I don't see any real disadvantage of having almost every optic available for every firearm. For example Blacklight:Retribution allows any optic to be placed on any firearm, you can put a 10x scope on a shotgun if you want. although the idea is ridiculous, its allowed. Battlefield 4 also allows this but with some restrictions. weaver rails can be added as lootable item, and the drill and tap kits can either be included, or be a static/stationary device found at specific locations. almost every firearm can feasibly be mounted with a weaver rail allowing most every optic to be mounted support and discuss :) Edited April 9, 2014 by commanderbash
OrLoK 16188 Posted April 9, 2014 Hello there If the sight or rail is compatible then I dont see why not. if however the rail system is not compatible or the weapon simply cannot host one then I think that should be the limiter. Just like reality. Rgds LoK
IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted April 9, 2014 I like the idea, but agree that it has to be realistic. IE not just slapping a PU scope on a M4 or a scope that has uses one rail system or another without first modding the weapon (IE not taking a stock mosin and slapping on an ACOG). That said there should be kits that you can find, so say you can take that .22 Sporter, add on a rail system, then put on any rail sight you want/will fit. It should also be that you have to 'manually' zero/adjust a sight that you add on (so you can't just slap on a RDS in the middle of battle and start scoring headshots by putting dots on foreheads)
