First time: In a yellow house upstairs in a small town somewhere on the map; don't remember. Today, in Dubky when my friend and I were entering the large office building.

I was in a high pop server entering the nwaf, stopped to scope out the area. All of a sudden music started playing. my first thought was, "Oh shit, someone snuck up on me and is trolling me before I die...". Not seeing anyone I booked it out of there as fast as I could. Wondering why the music never stopped I finally shift tabbed and there was some advertisement playing -_-

I'm gonna investigate this, because it would explain why the music continues to play after I leave the server.

Well occasionally I hear weird zombie sounds near the school building in Chapaevks that don't occur anywhere else. Could just be an ad, but still.

Sounds like your on a dodgy website there pal.

 

Automatic pop-ups is always a warning sign, so i would suggest not going to such websites in a "crappy" browser as steam.

Do you have DayDB open in the steam browser? I've had one of the ads create a new window and start playing music in an advertisment.

 

Thanks, the other night i was hearing a news broadcast, was wandering around Berezino, about a minute and a half and it was freaking me out, no open mic's, no direct commumication, I was on a server that I had just rented. I had no clue what was going on, the broadcast was loud enough to hear it but not load enough to actually understand what was being said.
