thoughtful doors/windows system

If you try to get inside a building, doors could be locked or unlocked.

Adding smooth animations when openning/breaking/closing/locking doors would make it all pretty cool, wouldnt it?

 

 

If a door is locked:

 

You can get in by shooting at the lock, or break-in with an axe/crowbar

Or, well, I guess since it's all old and used by the time, I guess we could also just kick it?

If a door is unlocked (UNLOCKED AND NOT BROKEN!!) :

 

You can open it and then lock it behind you.

What is the point if you could open a locked door anyway? No matter how : gun,axe,kick.

It would require a lot of work (damaged/undamaged every door mesh models, animation, coding), much more than only add a sound!
And finally I guess it will be boring after a while...
If it's only to complicate everybody's life to break in, well on this basis we could also suggest to remove "Eat all" feature (same effects : multiple action & waste few seconds, for same result).

Locked doors should not be defined randomly by server, but intentionaly and very specific (and so breaching them) by player. This belong to barricading futur feature.
