Skeltah 0 Posted June 25, 2012 Can i do that? When you log into a new server, in an area that normally would have loot, it will de-spawn the loot in the area -- it is not 100%, but most of the time your spawn area will not have loot.If you loot, run to the woods, log to a different server, run back to loot area, yes there will be loot there provided another player hasn't gotten all the goodies yet. sexacutioner 1 Posted June 25, 2012 It is frowned upon. Mainly because it makes the game less fun for people trying to be immersed in the environment and others are popping in and out of existence in another meta game instead.
lvg 1690 Posted June 25, 2012 It is frowned upon but there is nothing stopping you, but to save the waiting times I'd just move on to a different pile, you also have a higher chance of being killed.
Maca (DayZ) 769 Posted June 25, 2012 Server farming, do it everybody else is.... If there is no loot leave and come back after 15mins+, when you log into a loot area the loot will despawn unless your outside of the radius. Why do you think there's so many survivors running around with the best gear and dont care "Server Farming" tents full of gear.."I'm being sarcastic"
dallas 5195 Posted June 25, 2012 You're playing it wrong. The game is about persistence, not about cheap ways to stockpile loot, server hopping and disconnecting upon the slightest hint of danger. Please, please hurt these server hoppers with a 15minute debuff.
