More coastal gun spawns?

So recently they added a building in Kamyshovo/Kamywobo and something about this building really bothered me. I managed to get a gun before I got any other gear.

 

I realized the building that was added has a gun and ammo spawn and it is visible from the coast.

 

Was this building added in to have yet another coastal gun spawn?

 

I feel there shouldn't be another building added to the game that has a high chance of spawning a gun along the coast. (we already have Balota, Berenzino. Cherno, Elektro, and Rify.)

 

What do you guys think? (I'll post this and address it later, have to be somewhere).

I think they should keep them low, have some farm houses with shotguns {farmers choice} but i wouldnt want to go into a normal house and find a mosin XD

I would like to see 9mm pistols and stuff, of course it should still be rare, but there are plenty of people keeping a weapon in their home. not too unusual to have a gun at home in most countries. small firearms should spawn rarely. I also wonder where they are going to let bows and arrows spawn or will they be craftable only?

yep i agree with you there, most places have small fire arms like pistols etc and crossbows would be cool. in the hunting outposts have arrows etc as well would be a nice feature

More opportunities for the fresh to have something that goes bang so that they can take on the Commando Units Normally Terrorising Servers.

Honestly, I feel like we should find hunting rifles, handguns, maybe a sawed-off, with a bit of luck how about  an empty AK. Type of stuff civilians have in a post-soviet state of Mother Russia.

I think the whole of the coast needs rethinking in terms of loot. I know its not very realistic but loot should get proportionally better all the way up to the NWAF---where you find the best gear in the game. There needs to be some kind of incentive to get players to travel, I'm not fussed if people still head back to the coast after gearing up to kill fresh spawns or whatever, just as long as there has to be some effort involved.

I completly disagree here. This would make everyone rush north, northwest and west. Finding shitty stuff on your way to nwaf, getting killed by super equipped shitheads, just waiting for the newspawns knowing they have superior equipment. No, no, no.. - I want several "hot spots" around the map. Made up by cities, the landscape, how buildings are arranged and how much people know of it, how those people approach it while trying to get whatever they suppose to find.or how easy it is to get there. Risk/Chances of finding what you want.

 

edit: of course there are improvements that could be made to have more versatile and more scattered loot over the whole map, but also there aren't even all items in the game. there's much more to come and to find. your suggestion wouldn't help at all imo.

Actually i want to go inside a building and find a mosin with loads of bulletz so then i canz killz the peps...oh and a tank..yeah a tank thats rainbowcoloured so they seez me comminggz

Back to the seriousness of the topic, I feel finding a high powered rifle or any sort of military weapon should not have more coastal spawns.

 

The only reason I'm ok with Balota's existence is:

 

1. it's from Arma II

2. it keeps some pvpers distracted, letting players who are new to the game have time to at the very least get off the coast. (hopefully not elektro)

 

I feel there are already many ways to get a gun off the coast, but adding more opportunities feels silly in my opinion.

I dont think its required. There are guns already fairly close to the coast. Beside this, I do enjoy the freshspawn status and how you must be extra careful yet loot as quick as you can and get yourself kitted up again.

The only thing this would do is keeping players even more from heading inland. And its already EMPTY everywhere apart 2 km from the coast.

I actually dont have a problem with loot and guns being plentiful.

 

I dont care what anyone says, this is a PvP game and you need to give new spawns the ability to defend themselves.  You also shouldnt have items be so rare that they induce what I call the sandy vagina syndrome (being so scared of dying with your shiny loot that you dont really play the game)

No, simply because loot respawn is on the way, and adding new guns spawns will completely ruin the game, guns are already too easy to get imo...

The truth is the only thing that will ruin this game is bugs/hacks and lack of content.

Not really true - lots of other things can ruin this game as well. Micro transactions, removal of Zeds, etc....

Truthfully I would like to see a few more locations with some melee weapons, especially now that zombies are able to qualify for the Olympic decathlon. I don't mind having the new police stations at spots, but more often than not, I end up with a gun, no ammo, and no axe. Maybe a pipe wrench or bat, and it takes 10+ solid connects to down a single zed. Also, start me with a 2 slot shirt, and if I have to rip it to rags, I get 4 instead of 2. Two rags is tough depending if the area has been looted already.

Ehhh.... Mods that added a shit ton of military spawns ruined the vanilla mod. Turned DayZ into a stupid slow team deathmatch and the vast majority of people lost interest in the DayZ when it stopped being somethine new and special and became just another shooter, same could happen in the standalone. Luckily Dean is focused on the survival aspect and that alone will make the game more interesting than the nonsense the mod ended up being.

Not what I dont like, but things that take away the purpose, and realism from this game, eg current topic, sure lets add more gun spawns, lets make so that there is no need to scavange and move from the coast, as I said in my previous post, firearms are already too easy to get imo.This game shoud be realistic, and not just be fit suiting the desires of our unskilled part of the community.

you should see the experimental, talk about guns, nearly every other log cabin has one, im not talking about a special log cabin, but ALL log cabins

You are naming towns we have, not buildings... not sure what the problem is here.
