ARMA 2 Dayz Mod Range on Crosshair

Recommended Posts

I was playing Epoch a few months back and I noticed that when I used my scrollwheel to cycle through menu's I had a range next to my crosshair in meters. Does anyone know how to get this back?

My friend still has this feature and I have lost it, is it something in a config file or server side?

Hope someone can help.

~Chiki.

Nothing that would be part of ARMA nor DayZ. Must be a custom script, which then would be serverspecific.

You sure he doesn't mean Recruit? Or Cadet difficultly? I remember it having that hand that works like range finders when you have a primary and a secondary..

It's weird. Is there a difficulty you can change on your client? Because only he has it. He just got a new HDD and reinstalled ARMA, still has it.

Literally only ever heard of this happening once before, Was a server they had put scripts on, And it was buried inside one of them. If he dies and respawns, It should remove it from his character. If not, It's not the same thing.

I thought it may have just been a recruit server, But If only one person has it, It's not.

It's serverside. There's nothing you can do on your client to change that. If you really, really need it, you need to find a server that has it enabled.

I know it's server side, but my friend has it no matter what Epoch server he plays on... It's really odd. He's definitely not a hacker because of how bad he is. May have something to do with a hard copy of ARMA, I have no idea aha.

He reformatted his computer and he still gets this, his sister who also plays on Mac also gets this feature, it is server side but in this case it isn't. Any ideas? Any hidden config files?
