Can I play with people on a previous version?

Recommended Posts

This is a question because I have not played DayZ for about 4 months. Is there a way to go back to a previous version before everything changed? I don't like the health bar, inventory, etc.. Please don't disgrace me for it its just me but is there a way to go back to the very last update before DayZ changed and if there is are there still people playing on that version?

Nope. All servers are updated when a patch is deployed.

Disregard that, didn't realise this was in the mod section. Yes you can play previous versions of the mod, pretty sure DayZCommander has a dropdown with previous versions listed to download. I'm not sure how popular they are though.

There are plenty of ways to host your own server, including some gameserver providers that give you the option to host older versions of the mod.

You just need to make sure there's a way for your friends to download the files of an older version, as it's not always a given that they're still floating about in a good version.
