I heard that zombie "meow" so pulled my axe - then I heard another sound, much more of a GROWL, much more scary and I stood and nearly shit my pants. It went on for several minutes. Search mode? I've only seen 3 behaviour modes when out of combat- standing still- wandering slowly, draggin a leg- just once, one of them was standing on place and acting something like a gorilla, like diggin the floor (didn't hear anything strange though). This seems the one you describe, isn't it?That is pretty much search mode. When they are in that state they most likely will aggro on a player or continue searching for one. Wtf did I hear?Same thing happened to me in an apartment, forest (black mountain) and close to an open field. A friend of mine told me he heard the scariest sound yet on dayz, few moments later I heard the same thing, it gave me goosebumps.Weirdest thing was that there was no zed to be seen, we where in a zed contained area tough, but none whom agro'd on us. There are 95 of them and many of the sounds I haven't heard before. Attack 0-13Chase 0-14Female Zombie Attack 1-5Female Zombie Chase 1-5Female Zombie Spotted 1-5Idle 0-35Spotted 0-13 .ogg audio format can be easily heard with a free app called Audacity.
