Can't play dayz

Hello guys as the title say, I am not able to play dayz and I dont understand how you can. 

 

The problem is not technical, the problem is that zombies spawn all the time right next to you and attack you and this makes the game completely unplayable, a few to many zombies, buggy and spawn right next to you, you now bleed alot more frequently by zombie attacks, how do you play the game in it's current state, are the developers looking forward to fix this problem because it really ruins the game.

Maybe I'm playing the wrong game but Dayz takes place in a zombie apocalypse correct? The game has been out for a few months now and I assume you've got used to the shoot and loot play style and now that we have zeds, you're complaining?. Are they cramping your style? Yes they are an annoyance but damn man it isn't that bad. I'm sorry if you'd rather lay in one spot camping for new spawns or if you are a kos players looking for "fun" and now you can't be a bush monster all day but adapt to the situation. Zeds are here to stay....it is a zombie survival game after all right?

Yeah zombies are gonna be a big part of this game....if it follows the mod looting any built up area will be hell. Just check out some vids to see where the SA will be going. The mod had a lot more zeds than this, constantly respwning and agroing through line of sight, gunshot sounds (a big sniper rifle could pull the entire citys worth of zombies to the sound. Also the very sound of your footsteps on concrete could alert them. Expect all of that to come in the future. When it finally catches up with the mod, the norm should be, die 20 times......find a gun this life.....die because you fired it and pulled all the zombies.....learn never to shoot in a built up area.......become hermit scoping from treelines lol

 

Don't know why everyone saying the agro strait away tho, iv killed many with an axe now and after reading forums was ready to be swamped as they respawned......never happened. First there still aint enough to be a problem 2nd they don't come strait after you. Chances are the extra ones showing up are the ones that were further away, but were still pulled by the initial shots. Then when you fire again, you pull the ones you killed first, that respawed while the others arrived.

 

Pro tip.....In any town swap to melee for stealth. Only fire your weapon near zombie locations if forced to by another player. Good example....go into a barracks on NWA in the mod.....fire a round.....now shoot each zombie that walks in. It will literally never end, you will run out of ammo and be cornered. Best way is to axe them so as not to pull more in. If you don't have an axe its sometimes a better choice to squeeze down the corridor past them, taking a few hits, but getting out and away, instead of firing and sealing your fate :)

I agree the zeds are respawning to fast it seems, as soon as i take out a few zeds  they respawn almost instantly right beside me sometime.I don't think there are to many zombies just they are spawning in way to fast.

They only spawn like this when you shoot, and when you shoot they auto agro to you

So don't go around shooting everyone maybe?

I understand your complaint and agree that the zombies are definitely more aggressive and they do spawn very close and you DO bleed quite easily from them...

 

Although I disagree that this is a game breaking flaw. This is a zombie survival game. If you're looking for a game to shoot players there's always call of duty?

 

Your number one priority in this game should be survival not to hunt players. Before this patch went live, I never died to a zombie. After the more aggressive zombies and spawning, I still have never died from a zombie. You just have to change your playstyle a little bit. Sure the zombies can become a nuisance when trying to loot but dude... It's DayZ...

 

Yes, they have plans on stabilizing the zombies more and giving them collision very soon. We're currently in Q1 of the year and I think in Q2 they're going to be polishing zombie mechanics so look forward to that.

This information is actually wrong. The zombies spawn erratically whether you kill them with an axe, an SKS, or your fists. It does not matter. They still have a chance of spawning 5 yards away from you. However, shooting your rifle will aggro tons more. Using your axe you may only have to kill 2-5 and you'll be safe. If you use a rifle you'll have the whole block chasing you plus all the ones that spawn in when you kill one.

This information is also wrong. Zombies have already pre-spawned before your arrival into the town or area. The only time a zombie will spawn right behind you is when you kill one. So if you don't want zombies spawning right on you, then avoid other zombies. 100% fact: Additional zombies only spawn next to your character if you've just killed a zombie. New zombies do not RANDOMLY spawn in around you as you made it sound, "1 Zombie spawns right behind you every 20 seconds".

I remember reading that only 3,000 Zeds spawn right now, and if I remember correctly they are working to 10,000+ zeds in game so its only going to get harder.

You gotta stick and move, stick and move.

Axe the zeds, then immediately put a building or couple of fences between yourself and the point you killed them at. It's been working for me, even though it probably shouldn't. Zombie aggro is janky at the moment.

Zeds are easy to kill if you know what your doing. There is no problem. This is a zombie survival game.

The only problem with Zombies is the fact that they pass through walls/floors ect. They are an easy problem dealt with using your Fireaxe or other melee weaponry. I play this game just fine, and I love that they respawn now and I use them to my advantage during firefights, because they will aggro to people and I follow them to the person/people I am fighting.

I did not shoot anyone I was waiting on the edge of the forest near the beach for my friend.

Again, I am facing the beach, and the zombies come from behind, how do they get agro if I im prone and don't shoot. And it's unlikely that the zombies arround agro on me, because the spawn right behind me, where would the come from? Are they cloaked in the forests and waiting for someone to walk by?

I don't want to say "Alpha, deal with it" because I'm not a complete and utter arse.

 

However, I imagine that the zombie respawning will be refined in the future. I know what you mean, I often have zombies spawn behind me. Occasionally I even see them pop in. if you can find a decent melee weapon then they won't be too much of a problem, but until you find a hatchet or something they're a bitch to deal with.

 

But yeah, hopefully the zombie respawn system will be a little more elegant in future.

Ignore their behaviour for now, Devs/Rocket stated their programming is a placeholder for now, and I believe they have taken on new members to the team (or possibly outsourced) Zombies and their behaviour. So hopefully we will see a marked improvement before too long.

Currently only line of sight seems to have any bearing on aggro - but of course they see through (most if not all) objects at this stage - so any stealth tactic is useless. Give it time and keep fingers crossed , changes are on the way.

Why troll thread im complaining about a game breaking bug that got added with the last update.

 

I've got a fire axe but it's not fun if you will be busy for the WHOLE time killing zombies which move glitchy the WHOLE time, I can understand that the game is in a very early phase, but im complaining about it because this game breaking bug was not in the previous version.

But in all seriousness, we should just completely get rid of zombies in this game IMO. It would be so much more fun if there were no zombies. people wouldn't KOS as much because it would be a little bit easier to get loot. you'd still have to feed and water your character and stuff obviously, but just get rid of the zombies.
