Server player number on main menu

The "play" function on the main menu, as far as I can tell, puts you in the last server you were playing on. Sometimes I do this and I have trouble connecting and sometimes I join and I'm on my own, and then have to spent 5 minutes connecting to a new server.

 

I'd like there to be an indication of the number of players and the server's ping next to the 'play' button so I can decide if that is a server worth joining.

Better would be queue system for server you wan't to join. Of course if server is full. Also managing "party" of friends from main menu would be nice - so you could all join a server in batch.
