kanu-the-pup 1 Posted March 27, 2014 Im not able to see the indicators on the right side of the screen showing you your statur. My map comes up as a black screen as well,... I am also experiencing problems actually eating the food I find, and I cant seem to find water anywhere... is it in bottles or a stream or what? Any advice? tiadashi 262 Posted March 27, 2014 Your resolution is set too high for your monitor or wrong aspect ratio? you need a can opener or pointed object to open most but not all cans (tuna u don't need anything to open has a pull tab) the water pumps look like old fashioned hand pumped wells, you can use a pond if your dying but I would avoid that if you can - also water bottles & canteens drop in the game - Sodas work great for both hydration and calories Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

kanu-the-pup 1 Posted March 28, 2014 Cool guys, thanks for the advice, and its standalone, not the mod... As for my map, Every time I bring it up its just a black screen. Look for Polaris if you need to find north at night. The sunrises in the SOUTHeast and sets in the SOUTHwest. Just thought I'd clarify that. The sun is always to the south. If you get lost in the woods, run towards the sun and you'll find the coast eventually. Some disagree with the use of 3rd party maps but since it's available all over anyways I'll point you in the right direction. http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus Use at your OWN discretion. I open the map (i don't use it anymore) in the Steam Community (default Shift+Tab) web browser. Some players set it as the home page that way as soon as you open the browser it loads the map.
