I was running from the coast as I had just spawned, and I came across a player being gang banged by zombies so I helped him by punching them (this player had a pipe wrench), anyway's he said thanks and then we teamed up, we got to some town (forgot the name) and his 2 armed friends rolled up; I got hit by a few zombies before I got a chance to say I'm friendly and i was left unconscious.

 

The group of 3 where talking but i couldn't make out what they where saying as i had my sound turned down low on my headphones and thought i was going to die, they bandaged me and gave me a blood bag, some food and water and now I'm part of the group.

 

The point is not everyone and not every group of armed players are KoSers or strictly Hero's, sometimes you just meet some friendly people who are willing to team up with you...There is still hope people!

 

A handcuff Glitch where the victim (in this case me) stays handcuffed after being released.

It was funny but tedious to find some keys at walking speed.

Yeah, similar thing happened to me a month back. I was a new spawn and ran into a geared player. Told him I was friendly and we teamed up. We went to go find his friend and they spared me some gear. We went to fight some Bandits and ended up dying. Now we all play together on Skype almost every night.

I never thought there was a lack of friendlies in DayZ personally. I've run into a lot by now. I think there's plenty of hope  :D

Friendlies far out number the bandits and kosers.. Its the nervous players that make it feel skewed.

it was a new experience for me, previously I only came across 1-2 friendlies and they just went there separate way after we ran into each other; so I'm happy I took my chances and helped that guy out :) now I don't have to be that paranoid lone wolf going from cover to cover to find a fresh kiwi or tin of beans :)
