H4rdC0r3 (DayZ) 0 Posted March 25, 2014 So, after recent patches, while playing Dayz, my GPU Drivers stops working. (My GPU is nvidia GTX550ti, using latest drivers 335.23). It only stops working while playing Dayz, other games works fine. I tried reinstalling GPU Drivers, but no luck.
belphegor_goatzombie 100 Posted March 25, 2014 I have Gainward gtx 560ti (reference, default clocks) 334.89 driver and my DayZ crashes at least once for a day. Sometimes i can fire task manager via ctrl-alt-del but sometimes it doesnt work, seems like keyboard is froze too so i need to force restart my computer to get back control. H4rdC0r3 (DayZ) 0 Posted March 25, 2014 Result is the same, exept my screen goes black for a sec, when it comes back, I get a popup that GPU Drivers stopped working, and the game window is white, there are sounds, I can see the mouse when I hit ESC, but it is still pretty annoying to reload the game every 10-30mins. Could be a memory problem (caused by overheating). Download "GPUZ" and let it log the temperature of your GPU. It'll save it to a .txt-File so you can see if it is getting too hot. I had exactly the same problem and it was the overheating.
Accolyte 1727 Posted March 27, 2014 Hi, it's possible that there is a glitch in the drivers themselves. Try rolling back to an earlier version and see if that fixes anything. If the issue persists please submit a report to the feedback tracker (link in signature) along with files found in this folder: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\ Feel free to PM me the link to the issue and I will look into it. I tried reinstalling GPU Drivers, but no luck.I had the same experiences when I was overclocking my videocard, so if you don't have an overclocked card I agree with the person who said it's probably a temperature issue. The reason other games don't cause crashes may have to do with they are not as demanding as DAYZ. You should run some monitoring software as was suggested to see to what temps your GPU reaches. I dont think its a temperature issue, because in the five first minutes it climbed to 70-72C, and stayed that way. I might try to roll back nvidia drivers now. Well, I didnt overclock my GPU nor CPU, Im using them as they came.
