but a effective pistol in one hand is a hollywood thing...or gta...or for super military pros.

i would not do this when ammo is something like gold.

I bet I could use both hands provided I'm cycling on even ground, but I agree an accuracy penalty is in order.

The speed from the bike should help with that. Better be sure you are going to cut through whatever you're aiming at though. Otherwise you'd prolly fall off .

But yeah. A less top heavy melee weapon would be better suited. Machete perhaps...

I'd say it beats not returning fire at all while getting away. Nobody in his right mind is going to dismount while being shot at.

It all depends on the distance, considering you have to hit serveral times with a pistol to kill ur opponent, but if the des will add this, it wont hurt I guess.

Sadly enough I've tried swinging an axe from a bicycle before. Never again.

 

I missed the tree and the axe shaft lodged between the wheel.

 

Pistols, on the other hand, is very plausible, although you should only be able to hip-fire and have reduced accuracy. And not be able to reload.

Hip fire makes no sense to me and riding a bicycle without using your hands takes some practice, but we agree on everything else.

I mean one-handed. One hand on the handlebar one holding the pistol. It would be very hard riding no-handed with a mountain backpack and several weapons on your back.
