Different cities

Hi, I would like to see different cities, all cities are the same, now all the cities have police office all looking the same, churches all looking the same, supermarkets, firestations, etc, etc all giving the same loot regarding the city.

 

In my opinion there's no point on travelling, apart of a few unique environments like the ship all the places looks the same, same buildings, same loot.

 

It would be nice if cherno for example has a different police office, unique to the city, maybe not making new buildings but changuing the buiding textures colour to make it different to other cities, and change the loot too.

 

In my opinion cities needs to be more unique, with some unique buildings that you can only found in that city.

All confirmed, map designer promised a big variety of stuff within a year, if everything go as planned, also 2 big cities confirmed in the north, that will be as big as Cherno, if not bigger.

Aw, no. The north is my little hidey-hole. The space between Berezino and NWAF is void of people. It's great. There's so much loot there that people just don't bother with.

 

Will be nice to get some new buildings, though. Really I'd like to see all Arma 2 assets removed or at least retextured, because until that happens it'll still feel like a mod.

While I played the SA, I ran across the map from west to east from north of NWAF and Devil's Castle and it revealed some huge areas for potential cities. I don't think it would take away the space between NWAF and Berezino because it is quite a distance to south from that place. I would love to see some new buildings and stuff done to this place though, the highway that runs along that route is already impressive - seems to be bigger road than one across the coast and has railway running aside of it. Would be cool, that would call people, that otherwise try to avoid north for its military loot spawns, to adventure and discover the loot options in those cities.

My point here is that even the new cities like Svetlojarsk look the same, it has exactly the same buildings than other cities, with the same loot, I think cities need more different from each other, maybe including some new buildings that you can't find anywhere else on the map, like the ship, an unique places/buildings to go.

Well, hopefully (likely) bringing more variety to buildings is what the devs have intended to do.

In regards to building variety, Chernarus isn't a big place. Small towns here in England are all very similar. I wouldn't expect to see a huge difference between Cherno and any northern cities.

 

The difference between, say, London and Edinburgh, however, is vast, so perhaps it could be cool to have north and south cities have a slightly different architecture.

 

Would definitely be nice to see a couple of different fire/ police station variants, though.
