Throwing knives

I know Dean said in that other devblog thing that he's thinking about certain items being thrown having damage. I am thinking something like either throwing a kitchen knife with a slight change of getting a back of the neck kill or something if they don't have a helmet. Or a specific throwing knife weapon that can be used.

Also, I would love to sneak up behind someone and smash their skull in with a rock. That would be epic.

I hope they never introduce throwing knives.

 

1. Unless you actually have purpose-built throwing knives, well, good luck with that.

 

2. In the event that you have actual throwing knives, unless you practice with them every day, again, good luck with that.

 

3. Even if all goes well and it hits, it's still only equivalent to a single stab.

 

4. The "effective range" of throwing knives is really short. Danny DeVito-like. You could just sprint the short distance to your intended target and stab them repeatedly instead of throwing your weapon away in a most-likely ineffective and futile attempt.

 

 

 

 

I hope they never implement Hollywood-type knife throwing. If you want to throw your knife or axe go ahead but the end result should be more Napoleon Dynamite and less Rambo.

That is true, I'm talking about like split chance of like hitting your 'weak' points on someones head. Like a single stab with sufficient force at close enough range could easily paralyze you if not sever your brain stem/dislocate your neck from your spinal column.(A stab to the back of the neck)

Have you ever thrown a knife? It is hard enough making it stick, much less causing enough damage to incapacitate someone. 

Use a javelin instead, if you've got to throw something. Simple as fuck, and can be used as a melee weapon if they get too close.

Or, you could use a gun instead, which was what the rest of the world did back in the 1600's, because bows/crossbows, throwing knives, and javelins didn't have enough "bang for their buck", if you will.
