NVIDIA Users Tip.

Recommended Posts

Go to: Nvidia control panel > Manage 3D settings > program settings > Dayz.exe > Power managment mode.

Select "prefer maximum performance".

GTX 650TI 2GB.

What this does for me is it helps render things quicker, I'm pretty sure it gives me a slight FPS increase as well; tho not as much as I initially thought.

This has always been the default setting for me... If it isn't you might as well change it in global, not just for DayZ.exe anyway.

It might also be worth going into control panel and checking that you don't have anything similar enabled under "power options" as some of those can throttle CPU power pretty badly.

Thanks, will give it a go. Mine was on adaptive (under global) by default.

Thx for the tip, I also happen to have a GTX650 Ti (boost) but changing the setting didn't do much. What did help a little was slightly overclocking my videocard and CPU.

I use a mix of low and normal settings and get about 45 fps in fields, 35-40 in forest and 20-25 in towns and cities. Not great but playable and still having a little eye candy @1920x1080.
