Recommended Posts

Ok i have a question, i will buy Dayz so i wanna know if i can't run it smoothly, i mean without FPS dropping, like 10fps in woods or street. There is my PC :

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3,113GHz

GPU: Ati Readon HD 4600 Series

RAM: 2GB - Should i buy more cause i got windows 7, i don't know does it affects to FPS?

Yes and no. If you run out of ram space your computer starts using your hard disk, which will cause lag. Having more ram than you need won't do much if that's what you're asking.

It limits the amount of stuff you can store in ram which will cause alot of slow downs and hiccups.

My advice:

Upgrade the motherboard and CPU first. With an old 6k series AMD CPU I'm willing to bet that system will be hard to upgrade down the line. Get an FX series processor (good 6 core will last you a long time and can be had for about 120 bucks) and a AM3+ socket motherboard (about 50 bucks low end but the higher ends are more). Then get DDR3 ram unless your motherboard is currently packing that which I doubt but check. With 2 sticks of 4GB capacity that should last you a long time about 76 bucks at Newegg. The GPU you can upgrade later but the core (motherboard/cpu) of that system needs some work.

Thanks hoffa, that's exactly what i am asking about... I worry about FPS if i buy, i have friend and he have almost the same rig like me, and he got 10 fps in cities, 17 out cities. I wanna know what to upgrade to get more fps in-game.

Thanks anyway :*

Yeah, I'd definitely go with a CPU/MOBO upgrade. Looks like you pretty much need a whole new computer, mate! I'd go AMD for the CPU/MoBo if you're looking for cheap but functional. And, I'd go the I5 4670K route if you got the money to spare. And, if you're in the states, I'd go Nvidia all the way for a GPU because, thanks to cryptocurrency, high end AMD cards just aren't at a good price/performance ratio for gaming.
