    How to test your microphone?

It's working elsewhere, I just wasn't sure if the in-game voice chat actually works for me because I didn't get clear replies from people in encountered.

    How to test your microphone?

That was my guess as well... unfortunately, I don't think I'm gonna stumble uppon a friendly player any time soon :D

    How to test your microphone?

Not yet, I've just set it up in control panel, and in teamspeak. It worked in both cases. I'm probably gonna try skype later tonight. But the auto setup for mic (whatever it's called) in DayZ also works.
  4. So, I didn't play the game for about a month, and yesterday I finally got a new headset so I went in the game again, feeling more confident now that I've got a chance of actually talking to others and maybe get them to NOT kill me every time. Unfortunately, you can never find another player so I've only had two encounters. First one was with a bunch of of Russian (?) players. I put my hands up, stand approximately 20-30 feet from them and say "hello". They were geared up, so I knew I was probably gonna die, but I was unarmed and just wanted to see if I could establish some sort of communication. One of the approached me, they started saying something in Russian (?), I've asked them if they could speak English - they shot me. The other encounter was with another bambi, I came up to him, waved, said "hi", no clear reply. Then I typed if he could hear me, he said yes, but I wasn't sure if he heard me or just meant that he could read my message. So... is there a way to test if my mic is working in game?

    <Name> killed by <Name>

Yes! And I'd add this too: So and so.... killed so and so by a 450 m shot from his Mosin. So and so who killed so and so was on top of the Berezino industrial building! *a huge beacon lights up on server on his location* So and so.... cut so and so...in half with his M4. You can find so and so, the killer, inside the southern piano house in Svetlojarsk. LOL *a huge beacon lights up on server on his location* so and so...Nailed so and so... in the forhead with his .357. So and so is out of bullets, btw *a huge beacon lights up on server on his location* In case you haven't figured it out - no!

    faking death

I love the idea, but I think people will just start hitting/shooting every dead body just to be sure. It would be fun trolling KoS players though

    Three words. Land. Mine.

Alot of words: I don't know why mines couldn't be in there. Make them extremely rare, it's not rocket science setting them down.

    One word: Sure, why not...

    WW2 Guns

Let's rather agree to partially disagree. I can see your point though and it is debatable, like you've said, but I'm not sure this is the topic to debate about what percentage of independency Yugoslavia had, especially since it was first a centralized kingdom, then a centralized country which was made clear in many aspects of life and state (religion for example). But after the late 1940's and early-mid 1950's I think that every connection to the USSR was broken. The Soviet Union and Stalin considered Yugoslavia to be a satellite state, using the somewhat false fact they helped Yugoslavia during the Nazi occupation, while Yugoslavia and Tito dismissed any need for depending on the Soviet Union and riding itself of the autonomy.

    WW2 Guns

Why not? Ideologies of Yugoslavia and USSR were different, Tito openly opposed Stalin, and the Soviets accused Tito and Yugoslavia of Trotskysm and social-democracy. He did model Yugoslavia after the Soviet Union, but he changed everything he didn't like or what he thought could be improved, and he didn't accept the fact of Yugoslavian people caring less about their own country than the USSR. But Stalin had no power over Tito.

    Where is Cherno?

Alot of players will just log out when this happens if they don't have the appropriate rain clothes, but I can't wait for that. Like in real life, I love the feeling of being inside when it's raining cats and dogs outside

Yugoslavia wasn't a part of the Warsaw pact, or the Soviet Union, it was a part of Cominform for a year and alligned with USSR for three years after the war, after which it founded the Non-Aligned Movement. Tito didn't want Yugoslavia to be a Soviet satellite state, and that caused the splt between him and Stalin. Comunist state - yes, but opposed to the Soviet Union.

We were never part of the USSR. Yugoslavia wasn't part of the USSR either.
