Terminus!

Recommended Posts

As the keen Walking Dead fan I am, Its pretty obvious to say that the two can be linked together. Personally I think later on in the games development when players can make bases Terminus would be a great idea! I don't mean NPC'S because I don't think they should be added in the game in my opinion but if a large group of willing and friendly DayZ players could get together and create a place like Terminus, make it known on one server, in one place. This would be great, a place where new players can go or any player In general if they needed something, advice or anything else, I think this would help out the community with in DayZ a lot.

Yes. That would be cool indeed.

It would also be cool if you could write a note that gives directions and then nail it to a telephone pole. Then just tell people the server, and let them figure it out from there.

yeah I hope to see communities and stuff like that it will never happen on a public server though because of one thing douchebags there would be cats that would show up and destroy everything and blah blah blah. I'm not talking about bandits or KOS I'm talking about trolling little scumbags. but one private hive with whitelisting finally comes out if it ever does then folks that want RP can have I personnaly would love to be a bandit on an RP server since I don't kill who I rob usually I think there would be great experiences I/the other toon could have hostage negotiations, shit like that. now that I've stated my opinion que hateful anti-private hive comments.

Even if it does not exist in  The Walking Dead it can still be done in DayZ

"Exactly" is a huge exaggeration. The TV show incorporates a number of the major locations and most of the main characters, but so much plays out in different fashions, character relations are different, and so on.

Take Carl's killing of Shane. In the show it's a justified action, as Shane is about to kill Rick, and Carl intervienes just in time to save his father. In the comic, Carl's actions are, at best, morally questionable. He kills Shane much earlier on, and in cold blood, based on his own perception (that of a child's, no matter how mature/hardened he might be), that Shane poses a threat. The implications of the two acts are wildly different.

Or take the Governor and his relationship to Rick's group. In both he plays a charismatic and deceptive madman, that episode of the story's antagonist, but a lot of his interaction with the group is different. He imprisons and cuts off Rick's hand, which has a huge impact of Rick's state of mind, an impact stronger than the physical loss of a limb. Or his murder or Rick's wife.

Or Rick's own cold-blooded murder of the prison inmates.

So no, it isn't exactly the same aside from deaths. The characters develop in much different ways.

Isn't OP gonna feel like a jackass when it turns out that Terminus

is actually a trap set by the cannibals known as the hunters from the comics (who are probably the ones who kidnapped the blonde girl who was with Darryl in last weeks episode and drove off in the car)

At least that's what most signals are pointing too and what I hope happens because the whole [walking through the woods, killing 1-5 zombies, then walking some more / hiding in a relatively "safe" place not doing anything] every episode is getting boring. They need to go back to the formula from the first couple seasons where they bring in a bunch of people every couple episodes so they can kill them all off in awesome ways or kill a couple more main characters off at least.

As a bandit I agree bring on "Terminus" in DayZ!

-True facts about show -

This guys knows what's up. They are trying to stay as far away from the comics as they can while still maintaining the overall general idea of the storyline so that unlike shows like Game of Thrones you don't know exactly what or when something is going to happen.

Another example is Rick's baby for instance in the comics it died when the mother did and she didn't die giving birth and get eaten by a zombie she got killed by the governor's people when they raided the prison and the Grimes family tried to run away and Rick and Carl got to far ahead of Lori who was carrying the baby.

There is a "safe zone" in the comics but it's in Virginia and towards the end of the story not 1/4 of the way through in Georgia.
