leg injury

Recommended Posts

I had a pain in my leg for some time, then a zombie attacked and my character went prone. I could not regain my upright position and the message said something about a terrible pain in my leg. The zombie continued to attack me while I injected my morphine. Once the morphine worked I got up and wacked the zombie dead, but I was bleeding badly.

First question; Is there something I can do to remove the pain in my leg when it appears and before I'm attacked?

Second question; How in the hell did a zombie hit me hard enough, with one blow to inflict that much damage to my leg, causing me to go prone in the first place?

Now here's the part that pisses me off. I will grant the game the ability to have a zombie hit me with a massive blow now and again. I will also grant that a zombie attack can cause bleeding, but how is it...and this is my third question...how is it that 4 separate, 100% pristine bandages are now so badly damaged after this attack, that not one of them was usable? I bleed to death because of some BS glitch that changed every 100% pristine bandage in my pack to badly damaged.

When your character either is either moaning or it gives a message telling you "I have a pain in my leg" or something similar, it means you have a fracture. You fix this by getting some sticks and a bandage (or rags), combining the two, and "using" them on yourself. Morphine is a temporary fix to this (I think).

When you go prone and can't walk anymore, you've broken your leg. Use some morphine and you'll be back on your feet. I'm not sure if the morphine is a permanent or temporary fix. It gets you back on your feet, but you may still need to craft a splint to fix your leg. Otherwise, just craft the splint while on the ground still and use it on yourself for a permanent fix.

The Zombie hit you in your legs (not sure how, but it did). That's why everything got ruined. Is it silly that everything got ruined? Yeah. But the solution is to not keep multiples of the same item in the same inventory clothing. Split your stuff up so when you get shot or hit, you aren't fucked.

Don't complain or bitch about it, just accept it since it's Alpha. Adapt.

I don't think the damage calculation is working properly at the moment, as I have heard people report on multiple occasions, that absolutely everything in their inventory went "Ruined". I suppose that will change soon enough.

As for the leg: you can use a makeshift splint.

your legs broken, if you cant find ^ then use some morphine.

That's not the problem the OP brought up, it's that all his items were completely ruined in one hit. I've got this problem as well.

So if I receive a message saying that I have a pain in my leg, it means its broken? Why wouldn't the message say "your leg is broken"? Still doesn't explain why my bandages all went bad.

Bad news my friend...ignoring it is what got me into that position in the first place. I do not believe the zombie would have hit me hard enough to cause me to go prone if I had not been in pain. BTW my character at the time was healthy (Hydrated and energized)

my character is hydrated, energized and healthy with a broken arm and a pain in my leg, when attacking zombies just circle them while swinging your axe about.

Ok, thanks. You would think that the game would say something like "You need a splint" or "Your leg is broken", but for it to say your "healthy" is a little ridicules...your arm and leg are broken, how healthy can you be?

Does anyone know if it affects your character at all? Can anyone confirm it affects aim? I have the leg pain message too, but I don't have that "fractured" status message and I can run and do everything else just fine. I just scream every once in awhile.
