Pistol Magazines

I assure you this is your experience, and does not necessarily reflect the experience of others.

 

 

On 1 life, I have found 4 magazines for the 9mm, 2 magazines for the .22, 1 magazine for the 1911, and 2 magazines for the FNX... not to mention a couple of speed loaders for the Revolver.

 

But I haven't found a single 10 round clip for the SKS, which is what I currently have on the experimental.. Also haven't found any .22 mags for the sporter. 

 

Just sayin'... It's completely random.

Dayz loot spawn is an evil bitch when you want something it will not be there when you dont want it its in every spot. Example my last character needed a mag for his pistol and i found 0 but wow did i find alot of sticks. This character i decided to just go with the magnum and i have found 5 fnx mags 3 cr75 mags and no sticks and why do i mention sticks because this time i decided to go the more wild man look of having the improvised back pack ....

An empty mag would be great. Currently I find it a bit hard to test any of the new weapons because of the mags being fairly scarce anywhere on the map besides firehouses,police stations, and military facilities. I want to test the new pistols be have yet to find any mags for them and Ive logged a good amount of hours on this latest branch.

Yeah man, I wasn't trying to be a dick. A lot of people just say stuff like "such and such is impossible to find!" or "there aren't enough of ??? in the game!", when in reality, it's just the luck of the draw. 

 

It's also a matter of people who have already looted... Certain weapons and ammo types are more popular and more sought after, so while you may find 4 1911's, you may not find a single magazine for them because that 1 guy who had a 1911 already has already picked up all the mags.. Also, Mags in general are "useful" and they don't take up a lot of inventory space, so a lot of times people (myself included) will pick them up but leave the weapons behind, so I can share them with friends.

where are all these mags spawning i was in a town near near nw airfield with very good loot buildings server had restarted like it always does every 2 hours i found a blaze double rifle a load of good stuff like 2 canteens camoflage clothing but no ammo any where

I can't seem to find them for shit.. I found 3 FNX45s, a 1911, and 3 CR75s in around 3 hours... And not a single magazine. Then I at least managed to find an amphibia with 2 magazines not far from it, but it almost seems to me like someone probably dropped them there because that thing is just awful. Half a mag just to kill a zombie (pretty sure 2 were headshots at least unless the aim glitched or desync) and that was just to test it.

So I'm dropping it to stick with my sawed off until I find a magazine for the 1911 I kept

7 of my FNX mags got ruined in combat the other day.

I don't know a single person that stores there pistols without the magazines in them...Nuff said. Fix this please...

 

 

I'll find a M4 with a dual mag in half the time it takes to find the Pistol, Magazine, Rounds...

Exactly. I'll find a few Dual Mags, (sometimes for than one in the prisons) and never live to find a pistol magazine. This really should be flipped around.
