No Guns

I love running around with the security of a Mosin, but it does take away from the survival element, can usually have 200+ 7.62 rounds pretty immediately, and as a result the game is an FPS with some dumb NPC's. 

 

I would love to see a mode within this game that you can try to survive without guns... once construction/base building is introduced, imagine trying to survive without a gun, at best you might be able to build a lethal bow/arrows, a spear using a knife/duct tape and a stick... 

 

Would be great to just feel scared in this game, rather then thinking, oh well I died... better make the twenty minute run to Stary/NWAF/Milbase..... etc..

Once private servers and modding exist, I would have no problem with people doing this. Why they would do it, I don't understand, as the biggest thing to fear in this game is failing to check the sniper spots before heading into an area and getting shot (everything else you can pretty well run away from without problems).

 

Alternately, you could just not carry a gun and see how fun it is. Just grab one of the many melee choices and make a run of it. Personally, I hate melee in an FPS style game as it lacks the realistic skill and/or tactics that gun play provide. That is, you can employ good shooting skills, generally, in an FPS to be better than others. With Melee, it is all mechanic exploiting (jumping, spinning, circling, and generally things you would never do in a real melee fight, but are your only real options to get an edge in a fixed-body click-swing FPS style mess).

This would not make any sense... If this was added then the military bases and airfields should be removed lol. In this logic, they would be armed to the teeth with the finest Louis Ville Sluggers and Battle Axes to put down an infectiousness virus.. yeah no thanks. This has been suggested before and has been shot down by the community. 100% okay with someone making a mod with this in it, but for the full game it would not match at all. I also don't understand why people think that hunting weapons would still make a massive appearance rather than military weapons.. both would decrease overtime due to the mentality of people wanting as much protection as possible.

Hell in my town alone, there is a barracks with guns + ammo, obviously people who own guns and even the local school has 5.56mm rifles! And in the villages around here there is a gun store with Saigas etc!

I personally wouldn't play an FPS in which I couldn't find a gun in a fairly reasonable time-frame. I'm not saying we should spawn with them or that they should even be in the first place we loot, but they need to be accessible. I wouldn't mind, however, if they had less desirable guns be more common around the spawning areas.
