Server time = 17:46 but its pitch black?

Like the title says its supposed to be early evening but its pitch black like its in the middle of the night? Is this due to the servers being patched?

it's propably a bug. i had some sort of rendering bug also just now. joined 14:00 server and my whole screen was just flickering red and blue.

Turn your clouds on. I noticed this problem as well when dusk rolled in and I had my clouds disabled.

I noticed on a server where sun was down there were no more streetlights on? All villages completely dark.

If we assume Chernarus follows sunset times for Czech Republic, based on the map we've seen- Sunsets in October shift from around 17:50 to 16:50 once daylight savings ends. I'm assuming it's fall based on foliage, so this seems reasonable enough.

I live in Vermont, US, which is around the same latitude that Chernarus is suspected to be and during the winter months it can be completely dark outside before its even 5pm.

where i live it is pitch black by 18:00 and it starts getting dark at about 17:00

Yeah but the odd thing is.. I just checked again and the server went from 17:46 to 14:06 :/ DayZ is doing a time warp

17:00 in DayZ is dark. Always has been.
