Zombies Need To Get Worse Before They Get Better (READ)

I agree but if they need to test how respawning zombies affect server performance before they're ready with collision issues then we just need to dean with it.

I almost see zombies as a gimmick now.

 

I do not see a future where the zombies will ever be good or add anything to the game.

 

I sorta wana see a mod that completely removes zombies and instead raises the player count since there is no strain from zombies and at the same time focuses on survival aspects and crafting.

 

Zombies just seem like a waste of time to me atm.

Latest update, and although they are pretty much same zombies, it seems they have added more of them, and they are a threat. I was in a town where they usually spawn 2-3 zombies, now there are over 8. And that makes a lot of difference. I didn't have time to even bandage myself, had to make a run for it, they just kept coming. This game is definetly headed toward a survival game, say good bye to kos, as they seem to be able to climb stairs and are attracted to noise.

out of zombies breaking point mod has the best zombies at the moment. they come and come and you get swamped. only thing is the animations look bad on them . better animations and a similar system and you have win.

I haven't played the game since the new update happened, but reading this indicates that zeds became way too much a threat. So now there are MORE zeds, they spawn even close to you and you'll be bleeding from the first hit?

Don't get this wrong, but how should a freshspawn handle this completely unarmed? Especially because you obviously can't avoid them by being stealthy.

 

I understand this is alpha and we are the "test subjects", but...come on!

Mkay...

You don't want to play Dayz, you want to play Bear Grylls lost in the Ukraine.

Z are a tool to give players a common threat other than the other players.

They have to work or this game turns into just another shooter.

a) And then? You can handle one or two, but now you'll be bleeding and they just respawn.

B) Help? What? Are you serious? Have you ever played this game?

c) And then? Sitting on a high building completely unarmed, hungry and thirsty while bleeding to death sounds very...boring.

a ) Learn to handle more. I can easily take on 3/4 and not get hit once. Have you noticed that if you get a zombie, one behind another, that they will hit each other ? Have you also noticed that if you hit them in the chin, they drop like they were hit by "The ear biter"? :D

b ) Yea, its called TEAMWORK. I have met over 20 people within the game so far, and play with them nearly every day. I can give you our ts info, and you are more than welcome to come play with us. & close to 400~ hrs. Maybe too much even. 

c ) To hide, since on majority of the buildings, the Z's cannot get up there. On top of some building you can find guns, morphine, etc. 

 

You really should consider exploring the map, learning what each building has to offer, etc.

Don't forget full random loot respawn. You shouldn't know whats in that building as your character has never been there. Even if it had, the loot will have changed.

Ran all the way from balota to elektro without giving a fuck about zombies. They are still crap, who cares if they make you bleed with 1-2 hits if they cant hit you at all. Just moving in circles around makes them unable to and easy to take them out.

I kinda agree with op about fixing some chore mechanics before increasing number, they are just making them more annoying but still not a threat at all. Hope it gets fixed soon enough though

Don't forget full random loot respawn. You shouldn't know whats in that building as your character has never been there. Even if it had, the loot will have changed.

 

I have yet to see the "random" loot. I can walk into a city, and be able to tell you that the dark brick orange building is very likely to have a shotgun or a mosin, and food. The light orange one is very likely to have clothes / helmet, and food. The firestation is known for handcuffs, axes and pistols. The barracks are known for clothes, food, canteen, and guns. The hangers are known for attachments, guns, and ammo boxes. Piano houses are known for guns, food, and melee weapons. Schools are known for the same thing.. Essentially, the list continues. I have yet to see the randomness you talk about.

Me too.

I hope you agree it is necessary to have FRL for the atmosphere of the game and to combat the worst of server hoppers.

its actually just had a massive update and their even smoother now. I agree, their perfect- they stumble and walk and then break into a slow jog when aggro'ed. The speed and amount of them is perfect to be honest. And they'v added zombified Gullies, zombie-taliban, and zombie-survivors, look so epic

yes im playing it also. at thirsk yesterday there was in front of me like 150 zombies !!!

Me and a couple friends went into upper berezino yesterday and got swarmed by 10+ zombies without even firing a shot or raising our melee weapons, it took us and another random person ~7 minutes to clear away all the zombies (we'd even run back out of the town again) as whenever we killed one, another would spawn nearby and take it's place, we were all also nearly killed, it was crazy. Most fun moment I've ever had, but it definitely shouldn't be the norm. So entirely agree with OP here, numbers down, improve their ai, then numbers up again
