Walking like a zombie

Recommended Posts

There is a reason the infected attack players but tend not to attack each other. Assuming the virus isn't intelligent, it means that there must be some sense-based trigger. Since they aren't screaming all that often, my guess is either sight or smell. If it is sight, shambling should ward them off. If it is smell, there should be some way to mask or imitate as necessary to some extent.

I think something like this was talked about on a Walking Dead episode....basically worded along the lines of "You can smell their rotting flesh from a long distance away, if their sense of smell is still working, then your not rotting scent should stand out the same to them."

The amount of times I've mistaken a military zombie for a player in the distance... I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way around.

Im just saying, if the zombies spot you as easily as normally, which they should or it wouldnt make sense, players will spot you because zombies will be hunting you :)

Especially once we get more zombies, and yes its down the road, but its the end goal, so it should be taken into consideration.

I cant see how a player would gain an advantage, when we get 1000's of zombies, littered all over the place, simply because the zombies will still see you and hunt you.

In my oppinion, this would be a waste of man-power, because of the extremly small impact it will have on gameplay, compared to many other things.

When zombies will start wearing weapons, backpacks, helmets etc, this might even become useful.
