Mine is wearing thin, especially with the fucking experimental servers down for 24 hours.

 

Well I can't say my patience is fazed much by a 24 hour downtime. Talk about lack of patience.

 

My patience probably wont "run out" as I couldn't say it has a set time. I understand it's alpha and certainly understand there will be major hurdles that the development team must face. As orlok stated, I'm reasonable. At the very worst I just won't play DayZ for a while. No need to make a thread purely to complain about how the game isn't living up to my standards.

Doesn't everyone realize you cannot win an argument about how terrible things are becoming? You want to know why?! They told you NOT to buy the game! So guess what, they can do whatever they want and when they want to do it. You pissed off that these guys can't simply release a quick fix to prevent people from camping inside walls? Doesn't matter. You mad about people duping weapons with their friends? Tough shit, they told you NOT to buy this game.

 

You can complain about anything and everything that is completely broken with this game and no matter how you word it, they will always be able to say "well...well.....uh...WE TOLD YOU NOT TO BUY IT SO...HA!"

 

It's like dealing with a bunch of fucking children.

 

There is almost no point to these forums. They told you not to buy it, you bought it. They can do whatever they want, period.

Pointless whinging is not. (thats not to say any one here is)

 

If we had been waiting for ages for a promised patch and no info was forthcoming, I too would raise concerns.

 

But, if you buy a game about cheese and then gripe that you hate cheese based games, then you simply cannot be helped.

 

Be constructive in your feedback if you really want to contribute. Being a blind "fanboi" is no better than being a "hater"

 

TBH the devs can do whatever they please. It is their game. But, they are not that bloody minded and do listen to your feedback, but the less decent feedback there is, in a thread or even a forum, the less attention the devs will pay.

Yes this.

 

I was unpleasantly surprised when I bought standlaone alpha and I saw that it not only has all the mod flaws (combat loggers, .pbo exploits, dupliactions, desynchronization problems) but it also new ones like all sorts of wall glitches, rubberbanding and all the zombie problems.

 

I know it is alpha but cmon, if it from start have all mod problems that standalone supposed to fix then it is a bad sign.

I thought the same thing at first until I realized that as they are developing this from the ground up. How much is going on that we can't see? This version of the game is obviously less open for scripters to hack with. That the big one. And the zombies are completely new too. Remember how the zombies were based off the existing AI in the mod? At the moment I believe the zombies in the alpha are nothing more than placeholders; they are base-code with rudimentary movement. They rarely shamble or move, just the base reaction of spotting and running straight towards us. And that is still a hell of a lot of improvement over the mod, right off the bat.

I can't play stable--too much desync going on. Nothing will happen if/when my patience runs out. I won't run DayZ anymore. Probably take a month off, or six. Lots of people already have. LOTS.

Ok, ill bite.

 

There's no conspiracy/media spin here.

 

I "inject" my opinion where I feel I have an opinion. Its as simple as that. Like you I am a member here and have my own opinion.

 

Am I a fanboi? Well, to you probably yes, but I have  been vocal in my critique of the game in the past and if I feel I have something to add, either positive or not I will do so.

 

Now, back on topic please. And im saying that with my mod had firmly back on.

We should be gratefull that "we" get to play at this stage.

Don't encourage more sales. In fact, I suggest that you encourage people to NOT but the game in it's current state, just as rocket has done. Already too many people are buying the alpha without realizing what they are getting into. Last thing we need is more of these threads.

 

If you do encourage people to buy it, place extreme emphasis on the fact that it is incomplete and will be at times unplayable.

Well I'm hoping now they have a bigger dev team we will maybe see less frequent but larger and more polished patchs at least that's what I'm hoping the reason is for the drop off in patch updates, that being said DH seems to of been very quite lately :huh:

 

Doubles dev team, takes longer for updates, not liking this.
