Walkie-Talkie connected to radio tower

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

it would be awesome if the walkie talkie could be connected to a radio tower to increase its range over the hole map. Imagine the fights to take control of the tower to host the next radio show. Or that silly guy acting like a prophet trying to convert you into peaceful creatures :D

This one for example:

I like that, everybody would think about Green Mountain but the one you took a picture is awesome.

If they added that I would like to see and be in a radio tower firefight

Good idea you could listen ppl at there over the map on the all channels at the same time but there would be generator and you have to need some gas to make it work this could be good task

You can't use Skype to chat with unknown players...

It cant be! :O Anyways never understood the fun in talking to strangers, considering the dayz mentality, 99% of those end up either side getting shot.

Dibs on NOT being the guy that climbs to the top of the tower to get reception!

This would be a really cool idea.  There is a lot of potential with the walkie talkies (cross-map communication, IEDs, setting traps, intercepting traps, etc.)  Such a feature would work really well for meta game tasks like clan recruitment and propoganda, too.  While I don't think it should be a priority, it would be relatively simple to add in in a basic form and it would be interesting to see what the community does with it.  I can only imagine it would turn into somebody blaring Rick Astley globally and forcing everyone to change channels or turn off their radios.
