mark117h 7 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) This is not a post on say the player actually killing themselves "Commiting Suicide", but more of a solution to the other players that are Bandits - KoS'ers - Murderers, going around killing everthing and everyone that they meet... What you could do to implement the suicide/murdered side of it, is to be able to let the player go into there inventory and be able to pick an item/weapon I.E. a grenade/explosive/bullets, this is where the REVENGE part comes in, and be able to say rig the item that upon your untimely death and the minute that someone goes to loot your body or go near it then BANG there you go REVENGE for killing you. You get some kind of payback and the people that become bandits and or KoS'ers Murderers, well you get the point dont you, they will be more wary about killing and going to loot your body, It would/could defo add some kind of extra element, in that every kill that you make, you will be running the risk of being killed yourself, you see theres the benefit right there, it is going to make people think twice before looting you, or they could just kill you and wait for somebody else to come along and try and loot your body and watch them get blown up. Can you imagine it online, killing someone then dragging there body somewhere, to be seen to set up the next guys/gals that come along and try to loot you. You would have to blow yourself up, if you wanted to get into your backpack. I mean, you COULD potentially put some explosive in there, and if you get shot where its at in your backpack, you would blow up. mark117h 7 Posted March 13, 2014 Or like you said it doesnt make sense, but it would come in handy for the people who get legs broke by bandits and the like,thats why i started this thread, to see what people would make of it.You could put it on a timer really, ready for activation that upon them shooting at you then you can press some hotkey to activate the count down, then upon your death who knows when ya gonna blow, i like the idea with the backpacks though, now that could be funny like you said.. akafugitive 244 Posted March 13, 2014 It's not hard to setup a hand grenade in a pouch to prime if pulled out, it's the same idea behind setting one up in a jar as a trip device.If they did this they should just make it so inspecting an item before removing it from their inventory would reveal it's been tampered with. To counter a possible booby trapped body, you must have a rope (which we already have in-game) where you will tie it on the foot of the player, unwind the rope as you walk a few meters away and pull the corpse.
