Main menu broken, cant see character or name

I never added anything to the launch options, tried deleting the config files but nothing changed.

any more ideas?

Hmm, are you running XP.
No, better post your specs then.

I get the same now and again, all I do is go into Configure and open the Graphic Options and click ok.
It may be related to a graphic settings not saving bug that is supposed to be fixed in Experimental.

My computer is a piece of crap indeed, I have an ancient Q6600 with a GTX650 .. however i did have the menu working properly since the start

also, I messed about with the graphics settings even put everything on the highest and still nothing.

Happened to me as well. Delete all your startup commands in steam and it should work. For me it was the maxmem =8096 command.

Well, that may explain the problem - Its not 8096.... its 8192 if you have 8gt ram - its 4096 if you have four.

Dont know if that could cause any problems but usually all the numbers you mess with should be very accurate.
