Do you think it is way too easy to upset someone in this game?

Recommended Posts

It only takes less than half an hour to loot up but people are so attached to their gear that it is so easy to piss them off.

[a] Kill someone, they start saying you are hacking

KoS them, they say you are a coward

[c] Kill new spawn, get cussed out

Seriously even getting punched by someone ignites so much emotions.

I do believe people need to remember that this is a game. lol

No microphone and aggressive manner = KOS
Kill someone no reason = Douchebag
Kill new spawns =                 <Bambi: Hey guys maybe we can kill them let's go>
                                            <M4guy: .....                                   >
<Bambi: Yeah man yeah.. Kill new spawnss..>

That's all I want to say. We all did that then flame to guys who has fully geared..

a]Never heard anyone say that. I mean, yeah, there are a few threads here concerning hacking but 80% of them are probably desync/lag issues and the other 20% are about real hackers...

b]Meh. Part of the game. And I don't think that they will get upset about their death but about the lack of interaction - rob them and leave them handcuffed. Or break them a leg after you robbed them. There are far mor entertaining things (for me) than KoS. But whatever floats your boat.

c]Well...sort of lame. I have killed fresh spawns that tried to PoS me (srsly? Do you think I wear that motorcycle helmet because I LIKE it? ...and in the meantime i'm wearing a green hard helmet ;)) , but otherwise? Hm....for me it would be no fun to kill a freshspawn that doesn't try to attack me (and btw. killing a freshspawn really has no reason, because you can't even get anything from them...), so you do it to annoy people (like the other things) well. Also a way to plaay a sandbox game. Like I said: Whatever floats your goat.

...and that emotions are ignited so fast in this game, speaks for it's immersive power ;)

People don't handle perma death very well.

Remember, it's always your fault they ended up dying, not their lack of aim / manners / common sense.

I can't count how many people shot at my first, I kill them, and they scream "You KOS piece of shit!!". That leaves me all levels of confused.

This. I remembered a time where I got cussed out real bad near the North. His friend combat logged and he got killed after shooting first.

I think the world is just changing more rapidly and more people take more offense to more things as the population gets larger and larger and we are forced to deal with more and more people that are not like we are.

How many people do you know who the first word that comes to mind is tolerance when you think of them?

It is not a matter of tolerance but it is a matter of indifference. You die in a game with guns. It's bound to happen and that is what makes the game fun in my opinion.

This. I remembered a time where I got cussed out real bad near the North. His friend combat logged and he got killed after shooting first.

I've had people justify I spooked them and hence why they fired first, OR they thought I looked like a KOS'er and I proved them right, despite them firing first. People do way too much mental gymnastics to avoid having accountability.

Only once, ONCE did I shoot a guy who spooked me. He ducked behind a wall and was like, "WHOA WHOA, dude, chill!" He apologized for spooking me and put his gun away and came around the corner hands up.

I was stunned he did that, but I decided to play nice and we talked for a bit. We then traded some ammo since he had M4 mags and rounds and I had Mosin rounds for him.

Felt bad for ruining his assault vest so I gave him mine in a peace offer exchange. In the end I got a double mag, two 40 mags and 100 .556 rounds and he got 100 Mosin rounds and a pristine compensator as well as an assault vest.

I felt it was a much better exchange than simply slugging it out.

Actually it is.

Some people are more tolerant to this style of game and understand it. Others will play it anyway with very little tolerance to others death or people not doing what they want.

Call it what you will that is how I refer to it. If you are indifferent they you don't give a crap thus dying has no bearing on emotional state. Something that this game is often bringing out in people.

These are my opinions argue them all you like. They are just one way of thinking and there are billions of us with other views. To me its just a game no reason to get all hot and angry about it unless that makes me happy.

I find it rather amusing when this happens.

Exactly! What other game can bring up so many emotions just from a simple punch?

Dayz's brutality is why it is so popular....

Deja-vu ftw.

Is this the nth post from you, with essentially the same question, albeit with a slightly different wording? Or are you just suffering from shot term memory loss?

Maybe some people don't care about getting shot at all, maybe they just don't like to step in the KOS/ server-hopping circle jerk.

People stated multiple times in every thread that no one actually gives a rats ass about getting killed but it's the overall mentality on server that seems to piss people off.

There is a difference between gearing up like everyone else and then play whatever gamestyle fits you best and farm-hop servers and go on a killingspree because you don't have anything to do, even better to play near the coast, because more fun shooting unarmed players.

I could'nt care less about getting killed, most times I didn't even have a backpack nor any equipment, but it gets tiresome.

It gets tiresome, to get hold up - as a fresh spawn - by a group of 4 dudes in full military gear playing with you like a cat is playing with mice "follow our orders and nothing will happen, we just wanna rob you", the mocking you, calling you a [insert random insult here] and shooting you anyways.

It's tiresome to try to avoid any contact because you know stuff wont end well anyways, and believe it or not: it's not thrilling at all, no paranoia anymore...because I know that every damn encounter with another player will end up with him starting opening fire on me. Everything is way too predictable.

The argument that this is an FPS is valid, but it's a survival horror game as well...and server-hopping to farm endgame gear to go on a killing spree on the coast has nothing to do with either FPS or survival horror, it's just easy mode, acting tough and getting fun out of harassing people who has a real intention to actually play the game.

To me, server hoppers are no better than cheaters, as they use unfair ways to get themselves an advantage over other players for their own personal entertainment.

This forum is like my Mexican soap opera.

Is it weird that i pictured you as the families chihuahua? o.o

And since you only want to annoy people (ingame as in the forum as it seems) but fail here miserably, i suggest you go back to the coast, killing freshspawns...

Edit:

Yeah I know...not really on topic...but after the  563th KoS thread (this time about the reaction) it gets boring...

I find people on the forums get far more upset than people in-game. Hilariously so.

The problem starts once the person who does the actions that cause grief on the forums, sort of whines about getting negative feedback on is actions.

By then you know it is not the game that is the force pulling you in  :D

give 'em a few more deaths I say!! until they wise up, If you find yourself going into a rage over a computer game you need to have a serious word with yourself, world hunger? poverty? there's something to get in a rage about, but a video game? that's misplaced anger. which is the worst kind if ye ask me.
