In a death loop. Any advice would be great.

Dayz crashed while I was running through elektro, when I got back in the game I'm at the bottom of the ocean slowly heading to my watery grave! O well nevermind I thought.

 

 

Problem comes with upon logging back in my characters legs were also broken, after 10-15-20 seconds the character dies but no option to respawn. I've tried joining probably upwards of 30 different servers over the last 3 days. Same thing happens each time. I'm alive, I sink, I die and I cant respawn.

 

What a crappy way to go (over and over and over and over!!). Kinda commical really but there we go :D Any one got any fixes?

Try logging off the server, changing your character's appearance, and then change your screen name in the bottom-right corner of the login screen. Connect to a different server and let us know what happens (if anything).

Even though it say i'm dead I can still access my inventory/etc. So i'll just wait till my char dies of starvation, should fix it i guess.

Had this once......rejoin other servers.Took me 12-15 trys...but then i was back on the shore.

No, I'm not on experimental. Tried joining the above IP address and it didnt work.

 

I've already tried about 30 different servers, all the same out come but I'll keep trying.

 

 

As for waiting to die (the true death!) of starvation its taking for ever, probably on 2 hours worth of afk at the bottom of the ocean by now! haha

Try joining a server which is about to restart, and stay a full minute in after you get the loss of connection message. Normally you lose your character doing this.

Regular? Join a hardcore server. Hardcore? Join a regular server. After a while go try the other server type. Separate hives, so at least you can play and swapping may jog something loose.

When this happens to me, I always fix it this way..

 

In server browser filter set max ping to zero and server name to "dayz gb" without the quotes.

 

Wait a bit for the server list to fill up then join anyone of them.

 

You will spawn in as a new spawn. Play for at least a minute or two. Exit out cleanly from a safe spot. Clear your server browser filters, join any server and you should have that fresh spawn.
