Shot 5 Times, Broken legs, and bleeding out.

me and my friends were looting the military base beside vybor when i climbed a green watch tower and fell and broke my legs, and made a splint to fix myself, moments later i was shot in the back  by a really long ranged sniper, so i ran for cover and contemplated running around to flank, when he shot me again as i tried to B Line it straight to the trees, then as my leg broke again, he shot me on the ground 3 more times to which i passed out, i lay there bleeding for 10 minutes, my first friend tried to get to me but he was hit once and he passed out (pussy). My other friend took a huge detour around to get the snipers who were on the red factory building in vybor, he tip toed up to the building, shimmied up the ladders and shot them both dead and took their long range scopes, including a 3rd which they were carrying, he then got to our bodies, 10 minutes later, he got to our bodies, bandaged me and my friend and salined bagged him but not me, i didn't wake up for 20 minutes but when i did i had a healing status and everything was black and white, this was the most punishment i've ever recieved, my helmet was ruined ,my vest was ruined, my pants were ruined, my axe was damaged, my gun was fine but the parts were damaged. And i logged out in the trees. holy shit my guy is a tank.

Jealous. I had survived many adventures with my last guy on experimental. I had alot of good gear, weapons and survival equipment. To this point,  I had never experienced a glitch that just randomly killed me for no reason but today I was climbing a ladder, started randomly taking damage. Got to the top, started to bandage myself and got 

My leg really hurts
I think my leg is broken
My leg is broken
My leg is in alot of pain
You are dead.

 

All in about 1 second.

You are proof that the damage system is garbage.  You probably had a ton of items in your inventory too.

Can we please have the developer responsible for the current system stand out in the middle of a field with a backpack full of miscellaneous items while we take pot-shots at him? I feel this would change his views on the amount of damage that is mitigated by cans of beans and quickly get the system corrected.

Yeah i did but alot of it was still fine, everything in my backpack was ok but everything else was destroyed.

Im always one shot, or atleast when i hear the shots a second later, "You're dead" - No idea how you managed that. Prolly the bullets do less damage over distance.

Had those kind of experiences before, being healthy hydrated and full energized works magic. Got shot twice by SKS went unconscious, woke up 10 seconds later before my buddy could epi-pen me. I flank around the position to get a bead on the guy who shot me, get shot again, pass out, wake up 5 seconds later. Roll into a tree, and light the fucker up killing him. I'm bleeding badly, I bandage myself and then take ANOTHER shot, I go down, wait about 30 seconds, wake up again. Roll into another tree, see the guy moving towards the tree I was in last, go crouch and shoot the guy. He falls over, I double tap into his face to show him the error of his ways not confirming the kill. 

 

The damage system is kind of absurd. Sometimes those experiences happen, other times it's 1 shot down ye go.

Yeah it's cray how many shots you can soak up sometimes...

 

Last night I was coming down to the coast after gearing up on the Warrior's Path, and as I neared Berenzino I figured I'd swing in and check out the construction site for fresh spawns to mess with. Well I'm crossing the wide open meadow to the south of the construction site when I start hearing Ricochets go off around me. Guy was on the roof of the site with an SKS and musta been a popup scope as he wasn't very accurate but was able to see me at about 300-400m. I spent the next 20 minutes darting from tree to tree taking pot shots at him and him at me. He must've hit me 3 or 4 times during this and I didn't touch him (Mosin with a Pup scope/badly damaged..) After one hit I went unconcious for about 30 seconds, was able to come back, sprint off a ways and bandage up before bleeding out. Went back at it with him, trying to get a better angle from the north, still no dice. Managed to rush in and get under the staircase, only to get shot in the back through the wall with an M4. Good times. But I must've taken 7-8 shots total. My backpack was ruined, my Magnum which was in my vest got ruined, but not the vest?? Was one of the better times I've had, even though I died in the end, cheaply..
