Octavian (DayZ) 18 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) What do you think of a gesture with the thumb pointing down? Some bandits force their victims to fight against each other. When one of them gives up, the bandits can decide if they have mercy or not by using either thumb up or thumb down. Just like gladiatorial games. When you make a deadly quiz (wrong answer=death), you can also use the thumbs to show if the answer was correct. Edited March 9, 2014 by Octavian

doviszxc 194 Posted March 9, 2014 3 guys kidnapped by bandits. Burlap sack'ed and handcuffed. You ask them to tell you 3 reasons why should you leave them alive,One bandit is an executioner. You listen to one of the victims reasons, and show the executioner thumbs up or thumbs down. Etc. The only scenario I'd imagine thumbs down beeing usefull right now. irishroy 1347 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) Yes, Augustus, thanks for fixing the shit Crassus did there. C'mon.clapping hands & thumbs up can also be pretty useless. Edited March 9, 2014 by irishroy
Octavian (DayZ) 18 Posted March 9, 2014 Doesn't not beeing shot count as showing mercy? it`s a more atmospheric way of communicating it as it refers to roman cruelty. And you can tell the vivtim the decision before he gets shot. So he knows it will happen but you can delay the execution it self for more tension. For a Group of bandits it`s also more fun, because with such gestures there is an easy way to make a poll. Of course the victim has to watch this poll. harley001 315 Posted March 9, 2014 Thumbs down would also be a good way of saying. I don't know. "I don't approve".
